Was I ever gone?
Yes. First to the Algarve, in Portugal, and then to wonderful Copenhagen.
This picture is from Tuesday, when I gave in to my tourist instincts and went on a boat ride of Copenhagen. I was very, VERY lucky and it happened to be the 500th anniversary of the Danish navy, so warships of all shapes and sizes were parading down the river, saluting the Queen of Denmark. So, here she is. And Prince Frederik- but he's not particularly important.
I also went to Billund! Legoland Billund is meh (not as good as Windsor IMO but has a bigger Miniland), and central Billund is tiny! D'aw!
OK, holidays over, I'm back. I'll be building more, entering Zeessi's minifig challenge, and yada yada yada.
It's good to be home.

New York City's longest running weekly psytrance event is back at Sullivan Room for yet another action-packed evening.

Skoocha is one of the may aliases of French/Spanish Musician & Producer Benoit Munoz. He discovered Trance in 1995 while visiting friends in Amsterdam when somebody gave him the first Dragonfly compilation. From there there was no turning back and he knew music would be his life. Now a busy music producer and musician in NY since 2003. Skoocha still finds time to craft Trance tracks that will blend the emotions of the oldschool goatrance that started all this with the power of the actual production and the Funk of NY ! Over the years he has worked released tracks with Manmademan (UKSL / Flying Rhino) Biotonic (Solstice ) Earworm (3d Vision) Mesmerizer (MindControl). His music has been played extensively over the world by dj's like Domino and the mighty Juno Reactor. His long awaited 1st album that will contain many unreleased tracks as well as remixes of the old ones is due this winter on Parabola Records (Germany). It will be the 2nd release of this new label after the Talamasca Vs XSI Album.
Expect a set that combines old and new tracks as well as some new collaborations.
Also, we'll be celebrating Skoocha's birthday!

Over the last 5 years, up to 6,000 hectares (20%) of mangroves in Moreton Bay, off the Queensland coast around Brisbane, have suffered from unexplained die-back. As a tree dies, the air spaces around the roots collapse and the soil sinks, producing foul ponds in which nothing regenerates. This die-back appears to be caused by a complex mix of natural and man-induced events.
The government is currently working on “response plans” such as promoting natural colonisation where possible and looking at alternative solutions like improving drainage. This work is vital, as the mangroves provide breeding grounds for the local fishing and prawning industries and help maintain healthy foreshore areas.

While the die-back above shows photogenic reflections after recent rain, it is normally a stagnant, smelly “foul pond” beside a boardwalk in the otherwise attractive Boondall Wetlands.
I had a big break from flickr and everything involving typing (thanks to my contusion in my hand) but I lost my patience yesterday and ripped that bandage off - feels sooooooo good ^^
I can't work - I can't type with one hand and I can't write mails ... so off you go nasty bandage ^^
it was funny - I had a big dolly break - focusing more on (japanese) art and archaeology ... just beacause I had only one hand to use ... funny thing!

Countryliner bought the 'RL51 trio' of Darts over ten years ago now, when they started bus work after winning the contracts for the 72, 73 and 463 after the demise of Tillingbourne.
Ten years down the line, after the demise of Countryliner and Sunray Travel, RL51 CXB, C and D are now with Buses Excetera.
The only route of the original services Countryliner started on which Excetera now run is the 73 (Chobham - Woking), the 72 (Maybury Estate - Woking) having been withdrawn in 2010 (replaced by the diversion of the 437) and the 462/3 currently run by Arriva.
There's a dedicated route branded Enviro for the 73, but following its absence on Christmas Eve, RL51 CXB has managed to return to an old haunt today.
It's now S20 (S20 ETC) in the Excetera fleet (after being S32 for a while).

After a stint at Northtown in the deadline, BNSF 558 was brought back into service and got thrown onto many trains based around Northtown so it could stick close to home. As a result, one of the options that the power desk used was to have the 558 and an H1 painted SD40-2 as the power on the Northtown-Superior manifest carrying traffic to the twin ports.
While she had arrived late at night on NTWSUP, I managed to snag this rare B40-8W on it's return trip to Minneapolis leading SUPNTW. Usually I'd prefer for a BN painted motor, but when you get the option to shoot a warbonnet it's not something to pass up.
One of the narrow roads in Mdina, Malta and a helpful warning sign for the cars plying these back streets reminding them of the 5 and half feet width - in case they hadn't realised!
Whilst the builders were here all but the bravest birds seemed to disappear. Now we have a whole family of juvenile sparrows who visit our garden regularly and sit singing in the hedge. Just lovely to have the birds back again.
Photo taken from an upstairs window through the glass as opening the window would have meant these nervous little birds would all fly away.

SPARKIN should be spelled SPARKING, but I chose to spell it the way I pronounce it.
This is how I create language.
I grew up in urban environments and slang talk has always been my preferred way of expressing myself.
I always loved the level of creativity that could be applied to a language, and the power slang has in societies.
To COME BACK SPARKIN is to come back from a difficult situation while creating something absolutely beautiful out of it.
It is the act of overcoming an obstacle or obstacles no matter the level of difficulty.
We have the power as SuperHumans to take advantage of every situation.
In this song, I first remind myself, that I am the one who chooses to feel down or up, no one else:

I'm a physical being with 5 physical senses, so I enjoy things money allows me to do.
I want to be clear that this is not an anti-money campaign, it is about understanding its role and purpose in our lives.
I do not claim to have the answers, what I do is invite others to my journey.
I recorded this song 3 years ago, and so, being that I have evolved a lot since, I chose to focus this music video on these lyrics and not the remainder of the song.
They no longer apply to who I am today like they did when I wrote them.
The Art Direction of this music video is a continuation of my project THE REBIRTH in which I created an imaginary world where the unreal becomes real.
The quality of this Music Video is very poor, the camera was old and busted, so this is what it is.
I think it's cool to have the quality this fucked up because it's such a huge contrast to crisp HD imagery.
