...for those of you not knowing, before turning my hobby into a profession (which is being an interiors consultant) I had a full twelve year "carrier" in teaching. I taught English both at the language school my family owned and worked privately with children/teenagers/adults (especially lovely creative people who happened to have ADDS - Attention Deficit Disorder Syndrome).
Apart form the Grammar part of the language and creative writing, I held occasionally Arts&Crafts in English seminars - which were organised for a couple of months in Germany as well.
Everything that has to do with learning and school still fascinates me, from notebooks to pencils and crayons to folders and organizing "device" like the alphabet labels above, which came together with the folders to organize the shop's prints inside. (Still my own labels will be created from paper and colors of my personal choice)
...p.s: have been practicing with my new Sony A300 and a rather very nice 1.7 - 50mm lens, still I feel comfortable and happy with my old camera....it'll take some time....

The "back yard" of the Menor Ferry general store.
"Bill Menor traveled from Ohio to Montana before settling in 1892 on the Snake River “where the river was altogether in one place.” He found that the river flow near present-day Moose narrowed to a single channel that could be crossed more easily than the wide, braided channels that comprise most of the Snake River. During the next decade, he built his cabin one room at a time. His brother, Holiday, settled on the other side of the Snake River and operated a limekiln.
Bill painted the general store with whitewash from Holiday’s limekiln. In the early 1900s, the store and ferry drew homesteaders and dudes alike, ordering supplies and crossing the river. Bill also operated a smokehouse and blacksmith shop, raised vegetables supplying produce to the local dude ranches, and served as postmaster. In 1918, he sold his homestead and ferry operation to Maud Noble. Today, period furnishings fill the cabin, and the storekeeper still sells period goods to visitors who venture to the store. Grand Teton Association manages the store; open seven days a week during the peak summer season." from the Grand Teton National Park website -- www.nps.gov/grte/learn/historyculture/menor.htm

female returning to feed the young
Olive-backed Sunbird nesting process
The nest building process is done entirely by the female.
The nest can take anywhere from 4 days to 2 weeks to construct depending on the availability of nesting materials and how hardworking is the female.
Once the nest is fully completed and she is totally satisfied with it. She will contact her mate and inform him of the completion of their home. He would probably take a look that its construction conformed to specifications (ISO99000SB). Once everthing goes well, they will kick start the mating process Just how often and intense is the mating is anyone's guess, but I'm sure they have a great time together.
She would return to lay her fertilised eggs(1 or 2) about a week later. The incupation would take another week to complete. She would leave the nest to take short meal and toilet breaks in between, sometimes to socialise with friends and also to gossip about other sunbird couples.....I think they do complaint a little about we taking their photos without their prior approval.
Once the chicks have hatched, she would quickly make contact with her husband and both of them would take turns to feed the youngs until they are ready to fledge in about 2 to 3 weeks.
They kiss each other goodbye and fly separate ways(may not be true)
