I was coming down the driveway and Vinny was sitting with his back to me, watching his brother in the woodpile.
When Ozzie saw me he headed up the driveway towards me, and as he was walking up past Vinny, I saw Vinny starting to tense and raise a paw, like he was ready to "start" something.
Ozzie wasn't in the mood. Here he is telling Vinny in no uncertain terms not to mess with him!
My vacation in Italy has come to an end....
I am back in New York. I had a blast !! I was almost 2 months away . I have so many pictures to share 23 gb to be exact hahahha.... Please stay tuned.
The Inn at Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park and, the service area are undergoing some upgrades. This is all part of the newly updated power system that has been installed over the last couple of years.

Back in the sixties it wasn't often that an A1 Pacific worked an Aberdeen to Glasgow three hour express, but I got word one day that an A1 was indeed heading south and so jumped on my bike for the twenty odd mile run to Gleneagles. No mean feat considering the climb up Glen Devon and the even steeper climb back up Gleneagles, all on a single speed bike. Anyway, I think you will agree that I got a good result with my Brownie 127 and that it's time this shot got an airing. With thanks to the carrier pigeon for delivering the gen!!! This should really be posted on April 1st, but that's a long way off, and couldn't keep you waiting any longer!!!

Today I saw some juvenile Barn swallows sitting on one of the fence lines at the barn so I decided to venture over and see if I could get any shots of the little fellas'. To my sheer amazement and delight, they allowed me to get within an arms length of them. I watched as other juvenile Swallows tried to land on the wire only to be "yelled at" by the ones that were already there. It was a real treat in being able to get that close and get some shots.
Enough (photo of) China, now back to Australia.
And we were on the road again during Christmas & New year Holiday. Traveled for 3500km from Sydney to Adelaide, through Mungo National Park in Outback NSW, Murray River towns in Victoria, South Australia, and touched the shore line of the ocean in Victor Harbour, SA.

There´s no way back.

Le tre cose più brutte:
l'incuria totale della gente del luogo per la biodiversità del mare,
l'incuria totale dei turisti (italiani) per le usanze e le tradizioni locali,
la tristezza nel vedere un popolo lasciato a se stesso...
Unico problema tecnico: la mia fedele compattina subacquea Canon mi ha lasciato al secondo giorno... spero che le foto fatte con la pellicola "old style" con una macchinetta usa e getta mi permettano comunque di portare a casa un buon ricordo.

Headed back west the UP1995 is enroute to Los Angeles, CA on the KG1LAC-14.
This train would make a quick stop at Rochelle's Global 3 intermodal facility, then continue to Nelson, Illinois where it would head south on the Peoria Subdivision to Edelstein for the BNSF Transcon.
I really like this location with the C&NW signals to the east and some intact codeline remaining which I feel adds to the scene.
