Back from Hawaii, had a great time with my family and friends. Hope to get some street photography done this weekend. Hope everyone is well.
A Far Rockaway-bound R179 (A) train approaches Beach 44 St Station, passing the vacant lots and sand "streets" in this area. The R179s have recently reentered service after being out most of the summer due to safety critical failures with the doors and drawbars.

From a year ago at Quidi Vidi Lake. I particularly enjoyed photographing some of the many species of Gull that frequent Quidi Vidi Lake in winter. This is "Buddy' the Black-backed Gull that has overwintered at Quidi Vidi for the past several years. He has endeared himself to many local birders.
