A trip out along the Great Ridge from Mam Tor to Back Tor, to try to shoot the lonely tree against a fiery sunset. Didn't quite get the colours, but the clouds put on quite a display. I ended up spending about 3 hours at this spot, getting many variations on this view point.
Taken in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The lentel and surrounding structure makes it obvious that the space below it was occupied by a larger door or some such thing. When I see things like this, I always wonder what they were originally.
Been away for a wee bit!

Part of Sage Wyoming ghost town in Lincoln County, Wyoming.
There is not much left of Sage and based on some of the artifacts, it looks like it could have been abandoned in the late 1950's or early sixties. At least the place is appropriately named as it is totally overrun by several varieties of sage which seems quite vigorous and healthy here.
I haven't been able to find out much information about Sage but it was once an important town for both railroading and the Overland Stage which came north to Sage from Fort Bridger.
I believe but can't confirm that there was a "railroad war" around the Sage area in which two railroads had an armed conflict over the right-of-way. One of the railroad companies involved was said to be the Oregon Short Line and the other was perhaps the Union Pacific (now owned by Southern Pacific) since it is their right-of-way that passes Sage.
Sage lies at 6,332 feet AMSL, in the Sage Creek valley about 25 miles from Kemmerer, Wyoming, population 2656, and county seat for Lincoln County.

There are so many dead trees in this area. It was the result a big wildfire in late december 2011 to early 2012. At that time the park ecosystem have changed a lot. But for photographer, there are many interesting subjects and it was fun for me to look for composition.

The Midtown Precinct. 0900 hrs.
Back to business as usual. 'Least I don't have to walk a beat anymore.
Yeah, must be comfortable being Commissioner.
You got that right, Dan.
Still haven't got the place cleaned up, have they? God it must have been...
Jeesh. The last time I was here was 2007, with the reservoir riots. You remember, Foley?
Course I do. Not something anybodies gonna be forgetting, lemme tell ya.
God. The gangs are gonna be at it again soon; I can feel it. And it's not a nice feeling. You know what we found at the docks yesterday, Dan? Two hundred assault rifles, 50 RPGs, and god knows how many submachine guns. Leats we know whose they were though; guess what they had in their pockets?
Ummm...Joker cards?
No, thank god. But they had coins, defaced on both sides.
Ah, shit. Good thing we got that.
Yeah. Also a good thing we've got more Men, and more SWAT. We're gonna need them...

After many months of closed schools, the time has come for kids to go back to their natural place. So every morning they arrive, others on foot, others by bus, by car or... on their magic pencil! Full disclosure, there may be others that are even more excited for the open schools than the kids. You guessed it, it’s the parents!

Beautiful signs of decay where nature takes back it's place.
Trees and shrubs grow through and on the roof and windows of the building.
Nature lives on forever, human made objects will be gone sooner or later.
I found this old abandoned hotel on the road from Sélestat to Colmar in Alsace, France.

Just after Sunrise, NJT 4200 leads train 5718 while overtaking CSX Q190 in Newark, NJ. The day before saw moderate snowfall and caused NJT to shut buses down and run their severe weather scheduling. It would appear the trailing Multilevel Cab Car had issues, forcing the Raritan protect engine to be added before the day's run.

S. --- Ugh...This is not happening right now.
M. --- What is it?
S. --- I just got a voicemail from Scott. I think he may be thinking of leaving F2K.
M. --- He's the one who got left at the altar, right?
S. --- I keep forgetting you just started here. But unfortunately yes. He's the one. That wedding was such a beautiful disaster. I just don't have time to deal with the fallout right now [she shakes her head] Gotta put my work face on... What's on the schedule for today.
M. --- First thing, the looks from The Rainbow Fashionistas shoot still have to be returned.
S. --- I'm never going to hear the end of that from Erykah. Speaking of... pencil in time to go down to the Goddess Boutique later this week. I need to pick up some new things.
M. --- Alright, then you have that meeting with the people from Mattel.
S. --- Okay.
M. --- After that your schedule looks pretty clear.
S. --- Sounds good.
M. --- You have anything else you need jotted down?
S. --- Not that I can think of. Just put a rush on these rainbow looks. Erykah's probably foaming at the mouth because they're so late.
