When I go out just for a walk it is nice to come across something interesting and still have it there when I come back with the camera.

Just back from a few days in Denali National Park. It was good to see old friends after the pandemic had me holed up in Fairbanks and the Park basically closed.
Came across this Grizzly Bear that had just killed an arctic ground squirrel that is a special treat for the protein starved bears of Denali.

In Florida, people very often mistake the double-crested
cormorant for the anhinga, as they are both swimming birds.
A good way to differentiate; the anhinga has a 'straight-bill'
and the double-crested cormorant has a 'hooked-bill'.
