Yo he visto cosas que vosotros no creeríais.

This light-blading photo was inspired by some of the inspirational images I’ve seen from light-blading legends Patrick Rochon and Darren Hopkins, but with my own style of graceful sweeping curves. A custom diamond light blade and connector were used, with Convoy S2+ (on 30% power) as the light source. Magic tape on one side of the blade, pink cellophane on the opposite side, and blue cellophane along the coarsely sanded edges. Minimal post-processing from 6 sec RAW exposure in Adobe Lightroom 6.

"Grass Blades", a sculpture by Susan Zoccola, adjacent to the Museum of Pop Culture, rises into the sky over Seattle.

OMG, I hope I can keep up the Flickr thing. I forgot how good images looked here!

Peace, Denis

Blade lock to prevent accidental ejection of the blade

Lightblading using fluorescent sharpie ink the edge of a lightblade in conjunction with “forensic blue” light from a Ledlenser P7QC to make it glow. The light blade was a LPB 9in Plexiglass Rectangle, connected via LPB Universal Connector to the Ledlenser P7QC (on blue high mode for faster PWM and glow effect). f8, 5secs, ISO400. Post processed from RAW exposure in Adobe Lightroom 6.

I guess I'm old school these are the blades I use for shaving. I have an old Gillette double sided shaver. The potential for bad cuts are there if you aren't careful.

Having a bit of a vintage analogue weekend, so here are the leaf shutter blades in my Kodak Retinette iiB. Used it this morning and remembered I had some images of it taken last year. This is just about my favourite of my Retinettes, though for some reason my little Retinette 1 type 030 is almost joint first, despite less slick controls and no unlinked meter. Actually all these cameras feel good in the hand. Why not give one a try?

Even the strongest steel eventually breaks, that doesn't mean you can't still get some use out of it.

Introducing a 100% hand-crafted and modifiable mesh blade complete with animations, a texture HUD with various options and a full-perm image included to enable you to adhere your own emblems to the side of the guard.

I felt as if the sharp edge of the blade cut me right in half when I looked up at this skyscraper.

The beam from the top of the building was taken by chance at midnight. Worth viewing in Large.

Wind turbine blades loaded onto lorries at the Kyle of Lochalsh, Scotland. The length of these monsters is almost 60m. Extreme engineering and logistics. One wouldn't want to be in a hurry on the road behind one of these transporters! For a view of the transporter ship take a look at my earlier image at

A couple of photos of the Ingenuity building on Jubilee Campus, Nottingham University. A superb circular, domed piece of architecture .

Experimenting with the Light Painting Brushes 9in Plexiglass Rectangle light-blade. The edge treatment is coarsely sanded, and 4 strips of magic tape have been placed across the blade to create the striped effect. The light source was a warm white Convoy S2+ on 10% power.

Post processed from RAW in Adobe Lightroom 6.

...Thus the days pass, and our sojourn

is not displeasing, for, it goes without saying,

it is not supposed to last forever.

Blades, Sharpnel by Ang Song Nian (@songnian) is a rather interesting installation that showcases the grass cutters emitted with lasers as part of the 2025 edition of the Light to Night Festival.

Limited noise reduction was done to give the shot a filmic look.
