For We're here and Black and White Wednesday
I really love Black and White.
I took this at the Wildlife Prairie State Park today. Both black bears were out for awhile, I'll post a few of them together later. www.tryburn.zenfolio.com

The Black Drongo (Dicrurus macrocercus) is a small Asian passerine bird of the drongo family Dicruridae. It is a common resident breeder in much of tropical southern Asia from southwest Iran through India and Sri Lanka east to southern China and Indonesia. It is a wholly black bird with a distinctive forked tail and measures 28 cm (11 in) in length. Feeding on insects, it is common in open agricultural areas and light forest throughout its range, perching conspicuously on a bare perch or along power or telephone lines. The species is famous for its aggressive behaviour towards much larger birds, such as crows, never hesitating to dive-bomb any birds of prey that invades its territory. The informal name of King Crow is based on this behaviour. Smaller birds often nest in the well-guarded vicinity of a nesting Black Drongo. Previously considered a subspecies (Dicrurus adsimilis macrocercus) of the African Fork-tailed Drongo (Dicrurus adsimilis), it is now recognized as a full species.

Took a few pics the other night when we were having pizza. I think I like this one the best.
I'm spending the football hours watching the Pats and processing some of the pics from today's cookie making fest. Stay tuned.
Happy Sunday, peeps!
Explore #126 August 26 2009) Well guys i was sitting outside on my back deck today and just happen to look down at what i thought looked like a Black Widow (I had never in my life seen a Real one!) sitting right beside my toes and the more i looked i happen to see the "Hourglass" that ive heard everyone talk about, needless to say i jerked my foot up faster than i had set it down LoL, I ran to get my camera, and my tweezers so i could capture this deadly Widow. I then stuck her in a jar to show everyone. She passed away in the jar, prob due to no air, Oops! So I thought id add a special little touch to the first one, just to detail her "Hourglass" out a little bit. I Hope You all have had a Wonderful Day =)

This is a very friendly wolf named Billie. She lives with her owner in Inuvik. I finally got my wish to pat a wolf. She loved scratches to her neck and ears. What a great animal!

The black swan (Cygnus atratus) is a large waterbird, a species of swan which breeds mainly in the southeast and southwest regions of Australia. Within Australia they are nomadic, with erratic migration patterns dependent upon climatic conditions. Black swans are large birds with mostly black plumage and red bills. They are monogamous breeders, and are unusual in that one-quarter of all pairings are homosexual, mostly between males. Both partners share incubation and cygnet rearing duties.
ODC-"Black". I shot this while riding through a tunnel on the bike, on the way to watch stage 19 of the Tour.
I hate the smell of flowers.
