This is a very friendly wolf named Billie. She lives with her owner in Inuvik. I finally got my wish to pat a wolf. She loved scratches to her neck and ears. What a great animal!

The black swan (Cygnus atratus) is a large waterbird, a species of swan which breeds mainly in the southeast and southwest regions of Australia. Within Australia they are nomadic, with erratic migration patterns dependent upon climatic conditions. Black swans are large birds with mostly black plumage and red bills. They are monogamous breeders, and are unusual in that one-quarter of all pairings are homosexual, mostly between males. Both partners share incubation and cygnet rearing duties.
ODC-"Black". I shot this while riding through a tunnel on the bike, on the way to watch stage 19 of the Tour.
These lipizzaner horses were took and held in captivity during war for independece in Croatia. Many of them died, starved to death. They were so thin, skin and bones, when they came back to Croatia. Take a look at how did they look like when they came home to Croatia, poor animals: www.youtube.com/watch?v=jnoRdMzaDAk

Space had always been an area of interest for me. Here is my imagination of a Black Hole pulling cosmic matter towards it. The Black Hole is on the left with a string of the blue cosmic matter surrounding it. It is an invisible force that is drawing all the material out of a nearby star towards its centre. I created this digital art out of a photograph of water ripples in a bucket. I used Photoshop CS2. I shall be eagerly waiting for your feedback. Happy Browsing!

Holme Island juts out into Morecambe Bay and is joined to the mainland by a permanent causeway. Its tricky to photograph from here so I don't tend to consider it very often, but the other morning the breaks in clouds were sending the familar Myseron beams searching aroud the bay. The state of tide and angle of sun was creating some interesting tonal variations. I was hoping for a second beam to highlight Arnside in the background, but it didn't happen, so settled for this composition with a darker, more mysterious background.
The Black-throated Finch is a small (up to 12cm), sleek and stocky bird. It has a thick, black bill and a black eye line which makes them appear to be wearing wrap-around sunglasses. They have a pale blue-grey head, cinnamon-brown body, black tail and black bib which extends down to the breast, earning them the nickname Parson Finch.
