'Goshi', Chester Zoo's third and most unusual Jaguar.
She is sometimes also known as a black panther because there's so much dark colouring in her sleek coat that she looks completely black from a distance. But up close you can still make out individual spots.
Chester works hard to protect Jaguars in the wild through their Jaguar Conservation Programme. It was set up after so many rainforests were cut down to make way for farms that Jaguars started to prey on farm animals for food.

There is some thing so elegant about black and white,,,,, thanks for your visits and have a good day,,,,,
This bear cub was patiently waiting while it's mother ate wild blueberries...every couple of minutes it would yawn and clearly wanted to lay down for a nap but then would get up and look around for Mom. At about five months old, the cubs still sleep alot and are just learning to eat blueberries. The wild blueberry patch is at least a mile square, ringed by woods and the park rangers were estimating had five black bear sows with nine cubs between them and 6-7 big males who would come out to the field after dark.

Thought I'd show a couple of pics of satin on satin - the purple dress with the glorious Platino Luxe Fata tights.
Just a memory, just some blue, just a little tribute to Rollin' ...
Memory Motel (Mick Jagger / Keith Richards)
Hannah honey was a peachy kind of girl
Her eyes were hazel
And her nose were slightly curved
We spent a lonely night at the Memory Motel
It's on the ocean, I guess you know it well
It took a starry to steal my breath away
Down on the water front
Her hair all drenched in spray
Hannah baby was a honey of a girl
Her eyes were hazel
And her teeth were slightly curved
She took my guitar and she began to play
She sang a song to me
Stuck right in my brain
You're just a memory of a love
That used to be
You're just a memory of a love
That used to mean so much to me
She got a mind of her own
And she use it well
Well she's one of a kind
She's got a mind
She got a mind of her own
And she use it mighty fine
She drove a pick-up truck
Painted green and blue
The tires were wearing thin
She turned a mile or two
When I asked her where she headed for
"Back up to Boston I'm singing in a bar"
I got to fly today on down to Baton Rouge
My nerves are shot already
The road ain't all that smooth
Across in Texas is the rose of San Antone
I keep on a feeling that's gnawing in my bones
You're just a memory of a love
That used to mean so much to me
You're just a memory girl
You're just a sweet memory
And it used to mean so much to me
Sha la la la la
She got a mind of her own
And she use it well
Mighty fine, she's one of a kind
On the seventh day my eyes were all a glaze
We've been ten thousand miles
Been in fifteen states
Every woman seemed to fade out of my mind
I hit the bottle and hit the sack and cried
What's all this laughter on the 22nd floor
It's just some friends of mine
And they're busting down the door
Been a lonely night at the Memory Motel

Female ruby-throated hummingbird on firebush, Clear Lake City, Texas. September in East Texas is always brightened by these travelers as they lay over on their journey to parts south.
There was a group of Black-Necked Stilts flying around and calling continuously around a local pond. I'm not sure if it was the males displaying to attract the females? I have never seen this kind of behavior from them.
It took me a while to get this shot since you could see them coming and then they will fly behind some trees and appear again in front of me for a couple of seconds to get a shot. it was definitely challenging but that's the fun of Bird Photography.
From a tree in my front garden this afternoon. They are in fact a deep purple in colour. This is a young tree and only produces a small number of flowers. I draped a black sheet behind the flower to block out the distracting foliage. Shot in the dying evening light.
Found this little guy while vacationing at Grand Haven, Michigan - he was retrieving golf balls on the golf course!
The Black and White studio, Stavanger. A nice lead down the street towards 2 visiting cruise ships and a conversion to mono.
I think this photo nearly has it all.....
A simple pattern I have been working on. The pattern are part of a set I want to create based around the Native American tale of the white horse.
