Axial AX90059 SCX10™ II Trail Honcho™ 1/10th Scale Electric 4WD – RTR
The SCX10™ II Trail Honcho™ is the reliable choice for scale trail fun! For the past nine years the SCX10™ has been the staple vehicle platform for scale trail enthusiasts around the world. When it’s you, the trail and your rig, you want the tried, and true. You want real world community tested, hobby shop supported, aftermarket supported with close to ten years of history and scale trail adventures. The Trail Honcho™, built on the SCX10™ II chassis, meets the demands and the rigors of scale trailing miles from home when you need reliability the most!
The Redonda Ridge Trail, within the mountains of Big Bear California, is mostly used by off road motorcyclist, and revered as the Malcolm Smith Trail due to it’s technical tenacity.
The trail was recently re-visited by one of Axial’s own; part of a crew who had traversed the 9.68 mile OHV trail a few times in the past on motorcycles. The thought came about that it would make for a great SCX10™ proving ground, thus the idea was conceptualized to hike the trail, and put the latest version of the Trail Honcho™ through its paces, to uphold the “Trail Honcho” name by putting it on a “black diamond” trail for full size vehicles. Axial takes toys seriously, plays seriously, and made plans to go the extra mile to showcase the Axial SCX10™ Trail Honcho™ in it’s true, namesake terrain.
Equipped for heavy duty trailing – AX10™ transmission, single-piece AR44 axles, Method Hole wheels, Falken Wildpeak M/T tires and a set of four LED lights – the Trail Honcho™ takes the lead and puts your stamina to the test.

The enclosed steering slides with turnbuckles to adjust toe in and out with 8 degree kingpin angles to decrease scrub radius and allows for tighter turns. The adjustable body and shock mounts, and chassis upper link adjustment holes also provide multiple options to configure your rig to how you like it. Wheels include Axial 2.2 competition beadlocks made from CNC orange anodized rings and Vanquish patented wheel weight systems and includes Axial's competition inspired "hardline body" which has been designed, laid-out, and sized for optimum performance (meets U.S.R.C.C.A minimum requirements).
A series of three orthogonal views rendered by the Oarm. This man's deformity was caused by a tumor, and was corrected with VB fusions from T1-T10, with titanium mesh interbody fusion cages... it took nearly 12 hours.
With the introduction of the Yeti line back in 2014, the bar was set. Axial introduced a vehicle that featured independent front suspension(IFS) with a floating solid rear axle, something commonly reserved only for the full size off-road realm. This time around, the decision was made to make things a wee bit smaller, while still providing a high level of performance. Enter, The Yeti Jr.™ SCORE® Trophy Truck® - RTR. We’ve taken all that you’ve come to love and appreciate in the Yeti chassis, but shrunk it down to 1/18th scale. It’s powered by a 380 sized brushed motor which provides the perfect amount of torque and speed for this tiny Trophy Truck® monster. Also featuring a bespoke all-in-one programmable Tactic ESC and receiver, paired with a 3-wire micro high torque steering servo. At the end of the day, the goal was to build a simple, fun, and easy to drive Yeti that anyone can handle. The hardest part about the Yeti Jr.™ SCORE® Trophy Truck® is making sure you have enough battery packs charged in order to keep the adventure alive! And to top it off we went straight to Roger Norman, CEO/President of SCORE® International, for his blessing and for official licensing.
Decided to have a go at making some scale bungee cords. Used some 3mm shock cord which I tried to dye red but it didn't really work, and some fine wire. I think they turned out ok.
The Axial Wraith™ Spawn kit version is packed with performance features and option parts that you add as you build it. Whether you are rock racing or backyard bashing, the Wraith™ Spawn is ready for action.
The Axial Yeti XL™ Monster Buggy - a new category, a new frontier, a new dimension. From the beginning of the concept through the design phase, we drew upon our brand philosophy to develop and deliver something different to the R/C monster truck arena. Monster trucks are known for bashability, so we jumped head first into the segment by creating a vehicle with insane brushless power along with features that would allow it to withstand the abuse that comes with the territory. From the outset, the goal of maintaining brand heritage was a priority. Our research and development team took those traits and attributes, mixed them with the Axial design ethos which is heavily rooted in full size rock racing, and developed what could be considered the next level in R/C monster truck design.

Axial has joined forces with the most recognized name in off-roading - Jeep®. The SCX10 Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon was designed to resemble its full sized "scale/1:1" counterpart. We really did our research with this vehicle by building a full scale version for testing, research and development. We wanted to make sure you’d get the best built SCX10, right out of the box.
OCTOBER 9th - 12th, 2012 - THE AXIAL RUBICON TREK
Recently, the Axial SCX10 completed an incredible trek by successfully traversing one of the most recognized off-road trails in the world - The Rubicon Trail. Starting at Loon Lake, the Axial SCX10 Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon made it's way along the Rubicon Trail until it finally reached it's destination, three days later, at the Homewood staging area. And by traveling approximately fifteen miles through some of the Rubicon Trail's harshest spots like Gatekeeper, Walker Hill, Lil Sluice, Soup Bowl and Cadillac Hill, the SCX10 Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon earned the coveted Jeep® brand Trail Rated® badge. Just like their full-scale counterparts, the SCX10 had to earn this badge. And what better way to do it than on the very trail Jeep® uses as a proving ground for their vehicles.
