The EFE Wright Renown/Axcess front panels fit on the Corgi Gemini models, so it's possible to create a fictitious Wright Renown Gemini (or Axcess Gemini if you go even further and pretend it's a Scania chassis). Here is 527's front panel and ex-DMT 316 showing this. 527's panel doesn't have any lights on it at the moment because I'm repainting it, still as 527, just a refurb.

Finding itself back on a route it was branded for once upon a time for perhaps the final time before changing DDA rules forced it's withdrawal at the end of the year, Axcess Floline-bodied L94UB 61689 (X441 UMS; ex-SS138) pulls up to the southbound stop on Stockwell St (af. Osbourne St) with a 6 from Mountblow to East Kilbride (Calderwood) in late September 2015.

Photographed on Sir Thomas Street in Liverpool is Scania L113 CRL with Wrightbus Wright Axcess-Ultralow bodywork N122 DWM working the 10 to St Helens and DAF SB120 with Wrightbus Cadet bodywork X441 HJA working the 401 to Chester.

Caledonia-based L94UB 61691, her battered & careworn appearance typical of the last passenger-carrying Axcess Flolines at the time, was pulled out of reserve & sent to Scotstoun on loan, exclusively for use on the 81 (Clydebank - Duntocher Circular) in late October 2015. Caught here loading on Chalmers St northbound for Duntocher in rapidly fading light.

Unfortunately, she lasted a mere 3 days before faltering. Subsequently sidelined & returned to Caledonia, she eeked out her last 2 or so months of service there before final retirement in December 2015.

This brief loan in turn made her the last L94UB to operate out of Scotstoun in revenue-earning service.

Photographer's Note: As far as I'm aware, this was the only photo taken of her brief escape to the 'Duntocher Loop', so I'm rather pleased that it survived, via a previous Flickr upload of an unedited version, a mysterious disappearance of virtually all my other photos taken at the end of October 2015 without trace. Luck just kisses you square on the lips sometimes lol

New to First Ipswich as part of a batch of 10 Flolines in 1999, these were split between Ipswich and Norwich. It later served at Kings Lynn depot, then the ill fated Northampton, and ending its life with First at Colchester, before an extended life at Connexions Buses which ensured its survival. Now looking splendid it is often found on events across the East of England, like Fenland Busfest. Pictured here in Yaxley whilst working free service 320.

Chester City Transport took delivery of a small batch of Scania L113 models with Wright Axcess Ultralow bodywork in 1997 for its share of the city's park and ride network, for whcih they carried the same livery as three of the same combination with First Crosville, as it was then. Later on the CCT examples gained this Blue Diamond livery and were moved onto other work.

All were among the vehicles that joined First in 2007 upon the sale of CCT, and they gained fleet numbers in First's national scheme. Surprisingly given the purchasing company's use of many L113s, they were not retained and moved on quickly. 82 (R82 EMB) seen here later operated with Helms of Eastham and Anglian Bus, but the DVLA website shows that it was last taxed in October 2013. Chester was a highly interesting place back in the early-2000s, but no more.

R130GSF is seen in Paisley on driver familiarisation duties. It was a Scania L113CRL / Wright Axcess Ultralow B40F purchased new in December 1997, and would eventually be renumbered to 61539.

By no means a technical masterpiece, this image nevertheless depicts a rather battered Axcess Floline-bodied Scania L94UB (X443 UMS/61691) waiting at the Killermont/North Hanover St junction outside Buchanan Bus Station with a evening-peak 88 to Harestanes in the first half of September 2015. The remaining Axcess Floline-bodied L94UBs were rarities on the 'Kirkie' routes by this late stage.

A brief (as in, less than a week) spell at Scotstoun aside in October 2015 (this is documented elsewhere in my stream), this L94 would spend it's last months in service at Caledonia depot.

South Lancs Travel Scania L94UB/Wright Axcess-Floline 64, T374JWA, is seen at Wigan Bus Station on the 132 to Trafford Centre.

The second batch of buses delivered to First Aberdeen Ltd in corporate FirstGroup "Barbie" livery arrived in November 1998.

Nos 550 - 561 (S550 JSE - S561 JSE), operated just over three years in the Granite City before transferring elsewhere as they were to become non-standard types in what was to become a Volvo dominated fleet.

The first withdrawals occurred in March 2001 (551 - 554) and by July that year all twelve buses had gone.

Nos 550 - 559 became First Glasgow No 1 Ltd Nos SS163, SS154 - SS162 (later 61567 - 61576), and Nos 560 & 561 became First Manchester Ltd Nos 178 & 171 (later 60222 & 60215).
