New to First Eastern Counties in 1999, and latterly with First Northampton at the end of its career at First Group. T575JNG was since sold on to Harrogate Coach Travel(Trading as Connexions Buses) and it is seen here in Otley working the X53 to Harrogate.

Coming up to 20 years old but still going strong is ex First Leeds 60133 which is seen here surviving for a little longer with ConneXionsbuses before retiring into preservation. Used mainly as a school bus for the 636H this sees normal service use if a bus brakes down. This was new to Rider York in 1995 to operate the Park & Ride services in York until 2002 where it was transferred to somewhere in West Yorkshire before moving to Leeds where it was withdrawn by First late 2014

Parked up at HCT's Tockwith depot is Scania L113CRL Wright Axcess Ultralow N414 ENW. A remarkable survivor, this bus was new in late 1995 to Rider York for Park and Ride duties as fleet number 8414 in a distinctive 2-tone blue livery and was one member in the very first full batch of low floor buses for Yorkshire. Along with later additions as the P&R operation expanded, this stayed in York for 7 years until 2002 when the entire singe decker York fleet had been replaced by inferior Volvo B7L's and B6BLE's - this bus moved to Potteries for a while beofre settling in the Leeds fleet. A rear-end collision almost spelled the end for this, however the decision was made to rebuild and repair to keep it in use. Upon reentering service with Firstgroup, it had been given the new Olympia livery and at the time was the oldest bus in passenger service to gain the livery. Withdrawn in late summer 2014, it was feared this would make a one-way trip to Barnsley - but instead was saved by Craig Temple of ConnexionsBuses; initially bought for preservation, a full inspection revealled it's condition was simply too good for it to not see a bit more use in service for now. So it has beenr epainted into fleet livery, minus fleetnames, and is getting a bit of use around their network.
It's original Yorkshire Rider fleetnumber can be seen to the nearside of the destination display.
Most notable about this photo is that the bus has now gained fleetnames and logos, so it now looks less transient.
At least at this angle the Stagecoach sticker above the driver's window looks straight! Also other vehicles, this is positioned further from the front

First PMT Limited was renamed First Potteries Limited on 15th May 2007. Alton Towers Transport Scania L94UB/Wright Axcess-Floline T746JHE certainly stands out from the rest of the Alton Towers fleet, most of which are plain white, wearing this overall advert for the Merlin groups annual pass. It is seen here loading at Leek bus station on a quite Sunday afternoon before returning to Alton Towers on a 10A journey which is timed to ferry staff at the resorts hotels to and from work, 19/06/2011.
This shows the variety of vehicles that Ambassador operate. Although the majority of the fleet are Premieres, here we see a yellow Paramount on the left, a NX Caetano Levante about to leave on 491 duties, next to a school bus Premiere being passed by a Scania Ultralow on the free bus to ASDA with an ex-NX Paragon on the right,

Another escapee from the Firstgroup clutches, but in a roundabout way, Scania L94UB Wright Axcess Floline T562 BSS was new to PMT but later went to First Chester (60216), but it then entered the Stagecoach fleet after they took over Wirral operations due to buying the First depot at Chester (becoming 28536 in the fleet)... it is now with ConnexionsBuses and is seen at Harrogate bus station.
Although the lights were lost at some point during its use with Firstgroup, I'm not so keen on buses from the Wrights classic range that don't have the central fog lights, they look a bit 'boss-eyed' to me - the First livery accentuated this, though now it's not as bad with the livery currently carried.
Heading out on an X1 to Knaresborough St James park, I believe this is now one of only two Wrights 'Classic' vehicles in the fleet still in use with flipdot destination equipment, after S104TNB failed in service and is now to be scrapped.

The 194 and X94 were having a nightmare on Saturday 8th, with missing journeys and late running everywhere, all due to a (tiny) set of roadworks in Sandhurst which were causing a disproportionate amount of disruption - absolute chaos. This driver got a load of abuse from pensioners upon arrival :(
I didn't really want to go to Camberley, but was hoping to track down at least one of the two ex-Slough Citaros, currently in use in blue on the X94 with special route branding, which I believe is only a temporary measure.
Well, the X94 I'd got into Camberley in time to see didn't show up, so I eventually bailed out and caught the bus to Bracknell.
On the way, I saw one of the blue X94 Citaros, ES64020, in Sandhurst going the other way. It was on the 194!
Then ES64021 went past as we approached Bracknell, actually on an X94, but probably late enough in the day to have caused two X94 journeys to not show up in Camberley. I guess they were deploying the resources onto the main 194 to keep things running as smoothly as possible.
Either way, I wasn't best pleased, having photographed neither bus.
First Berkshire Scania 65621 (T821 JBL) was on the 194 in place of a Trident. Upon arrival at Bracknell, it worked to a 190 to Reading.
Amazing how far those Woking New Victoria Theatre Pantomime adverts go...

Two Scania L113CRL Wright Axcess Ultralow's new to Yorkshire Rider (8452 and 8454), R452 JSG and R454 JFS are seen parked together at the HCT yard near Tockwith now owned by ConnexionsBuses.
One of the most recent double deckers aquired by ConnexionsBuses is ex-Stagecoach Volvo Olympian Alexander RL N859 VHH... New to Stagecoach Western as 925, it later got the national fleetnumber of 16859. For a while it was painted into the traditional heritage livery of red and cream before gaining the more familiar 'beachball' livery; and it did have a short stint at Torquay - by which time it had lost its original Bright Tech dot matrix destination equipment and been replaced by Hanover units. Parked at the HCT yard near Tockwith, the bus has been part-painted so as to mask over the previous coloured areas of the Stagecoach livery.
