seen in Falkirk Bus Station.
Ex-First Eastern Counties, another new for the Superoute66 in 2000, replaced in 2003, nice to see it still going, despite a battering from the First Falkirk lot...

Another escapee from the Firstgroup clutches, but in a roundabout way, Scania L94UB Wright Axcess Floline T562 BSS was new to PMT but later went to First Chester (60216), but it then entered the Stagecoach fleet after they took over Wirral operations due to buying the First depot at Chester (becoming 28536 in the fleet)... it is now with ConnexionsBuses and is seen at Harrogate bus station.
Although the lights were lost at some point during its use with Firstgroup, I'm not so keen on buses from the Wrights classic range that don't have the central fog lights, they look a bit 'boss-eyed' to me - the First livery accentuated this, though now it's not as bad with the livery currently carried.
Heading out on an X1 to Knaresborough St James park, I believe this is now one of only two Wrights 'Classic' vehicles in the fleet still in use with flipdot destination equipment, after S104TNB failed in service and is now to be scrapped.
In January 2020 I bought 3 “spares or repairs” models, a mix of Wright Renown and Axcess by EFE. Two of those were quickly repainted into Hutchison livery, the third was set aside and forgotten - until last week.
The third model was in rough condition. A First Eastern Counties, Park & Ride example. Having found it I quickly set about dismantling it. I stripped it back to bare metal and gave it a full repaint. Unfortunately it fought me every step of the way, paint and primer lifting with the masking tape etc.
Nonetheless it is now 98% complete. As is usual I have added interior details, repainting the seats and handrails appropriately. I have also added some signage, it can’t easily be seen, but I like knowing it’s there. This 1:76 scale, code 3, diecast model bus now joins my Travel Dundee (National Express Dundee) fleet.
Painted in the latest Firstgroup livery, 60131 is a Scania L113CRL with Wright Axcess Ultralow bodywork. It had been new in 1998 as Strathclyde Buses SS78, and served with First Potteries before moving to Leeds in 2010.

Scania L94 Wright Axcess Floline T562 BSS is at Askham Bar and was working HCT service 13 to Haxby West Nooks - however this journey has terminated here because of problems with the handbrake which meant the vehicle could not go further.

A late arrival into the running day, 61074 is a Scania L113CRL / Wright Axcess-Ultralow new to Yorkshire Rider in June 1998 (as 8460). Now painted in First Group Leeds as 61074 (as it was withdrawn), it waits its turn out on the road

60220 was transferred into the Midland Bluebird fleet in 2006 from First Greater Manchester. It is seen here leaving Glasgow whilst working the X39 out to Stirling.
ex-First Manchester Scania L94UB Wright Axcess Floline S104 TNB is at York Blossom Street with HCT route 143 from Ripon. One of the lesser seen buses around these parts, it is about to turn right inton Nunnery Lane for some reason.
Update: as of February 2015 the bus broke down and is beyond repair so is being cannibalised for parts.
One of the oldest buses running for First Leeds in 2014 is 61056, a Scania L113CRL with Wright Axcess Ultralow bodywork. It was new in 1997 as Rider York 8436.
This Scania L113CRL/Wright Axcess Ultralow is photographed here in Chester Bus Station. The bus is unusually starting a 1A journey, which finishes at this location after serving Blacon. This service, along with the 1 (Chester > Blacon - circular service) and the 15/15A (Chester > Saughall), is usually operated by Volvo B7RLE/Wright Eclipse Urbans. This bus sports First Chester and Wirral's standard livery.

This Wright Axcess Ultralow bodied Scania L113CRL has spent it's life in the hands of independents having started life with Bullocks of Cheadle with the registration number N631XBU. It then passed onto Beestons of Hadleigh and gained it's current registration before passing to Connexionsbuses in North Yorkshire. Seen here on High Street, Starbeck, it has gained a partial advertising livery for Adbell sign systems and is operating route X1 from Harrogate to Knaresborough.
