12/13 branding survives into the Arriva era (just). Still looking reasonably presentable when a few years old.

Scania Paradise... Parked up at HCT's Tockwith depot is Scania L113CRL Wright Axcess Ultralow N414 ENW. A remarkable survivor, this bus was new in late 1995 to Rider York for Park and Ride duties as fleet number 8414 in a distinctive 2-tone blue livery and was one member in the very first full batch of low floor buses for Yorkshire. Along with later additions as the P&R operation expanded, this stayed in York for 7 years until 2002 when the entire singe decker York fleet had been replaced by inferior Volvo B7L's and B6BLE's - this bus moved to Potteries for a while beofre settling in the Leeds fleet. A rear-end collision almost spelled the end for this, however the decision was made to rebuild and repair to keep it in use. Upon reentering service with Firstgroup, it had been given the new Olympia livery and at the time was the oldest bus in passenger service to gain the livery. Withdrawn in late summer 2014, it was feared this would make a one-way trip to Barnsley - but instead was saved by Craig Temple of ConnexionsBuses; initially bought for preservation, a full inspection revealled it's condition was simply too good for it to not see a bit more use in service for now. So it has beenr epainted into fleet livery, minus fleetnames, and is getting a bit of use around their network.
It's original Yorkshire Rider fleetnumber can be seen to the nearside of the destination display.
Most notable about this photo is that the bus has now gained fleetnames and logos, so it now looks less transient.

North Western Star Line Scania 1003 stands at Altrincham Interchange with branding on the roof panels for service 19 which linked the town with Sale and Manchester Airport.
Star Line Travel were a Knutsford based company who also had an operating unit at Manchester Airport, providing airside travel for flight crews to and from the city centre hotels.
The company was taken over by British Bus subsidiary, North Western who kept the bus side and offloaded the Airport unit to Runcorn based Selwyns Travel. This view shows the operation after the North Western takeover on this Wright bodied Scania, which was purchased with funding from GMPTE as part of the low floor initiative.
North Western later became Arriva and the bus survives to this day operating out of the former Merseybus depot at St Helens.

Coming up to 20 years old but still going strong is ex First Leeds 60133 which is seen here surviving for a little longer with ConneXionsbuses before retiring into preservation. Used mainly as a school bus for the 636H this sees normal service use if a bus brakes down. This was new to Rider York in 1995 to operate the Park & Ride services in York until 2002 where it was transferred to somewhere in West Yorkshire before moving to Leeds where it was withdrawn by First late 2014

505 P505XSH was a Scania L113CRL/Wright Axcess Ultraflow new in October 1996 and working the FifeFirst operation as the bus-war in Glasgow escalated. The bus became First Scotland East 62293 in due course before being written off in Bo'ness. It was laying-over in the old Edinburgh Bus Station.

Scania L113CRL Wright Axcess Ultralow NJZ 3359 (Previously N524 XRR) is at the Leeman Road layby in central York - waiting time before running peak time service 29 to Easingwold; at roughly 5pm, the 29, 30 and 40 all depart York within about 3 minutes of each other all for Easingwold - this is because the services usually start at colleges to the south of York, but during the holidays the drivers simply have a long break here instead.

Another ex-First Scania L94UB Wright Axcess Floline in the ConnexionsBuses fleet, S574 TPW came from Eastern Counties (66574) and is approaching York rail station running HCT service 21 - and displaying the rarely seen Askham Bar destination ("Askham Bar", "Park and Ride for York"). This has also been in the Northampton fleet... though the 'PW' registration suffix originates from South Wales, which means this bus does fit in with other vehicles which have been with Connexions in the past and have originated from Newport Transport. This particular bus is one of the lesser-papped members of the fleet, possibly because it normally runs on school duties in Harrogate.
Stretching its legs….
Good to see this veteran out stretching its legs earlier today. This is 578 (P578DMS) which has been restored to as delivered condition when it arrived at Midland Bluebird. It was then seconded to Lowland Omnibuses as part of the FifeFirst operation and was repainted allover Red. When that ended, they went back to Midland and was repainted into standard First livery.
If you look closely you’ll see green handrails and grey seats. This bus was delivered before First had figured out its interior spec.
