Another ex Manchester Scania - complete with air con which would have been jolly useful in Manchester I should think...

Another ex-First Scania L94UB Wright Axcess Floline in the ConnexionsBuses fleet, S574 TPW came from Eastern Counties (66574). This has also been in the Northampton fleet... though the 'PW' registration suffix originates from South Wales, which means this bus does fit in with other vehicles which have been with Connexions in the past and have originated from Newport Transport.

Two Larkfield based buses wait at the lights at the Jamaica St/Broomielaw junction. The bus on the left is a Wright bodied Volvo B7L recently transferred to LF. Service 38C is the replacement for service 36 to Chryston. The bus on the right, a Wright bodied Scania L94, is about to turn left into Clyde Street having just worked a short 75 from Castlemilk to City only (in response to City Sprinter's 75).

T825 SFS is a Wright Axcess Floline bodied Scania L94UB new to First Leeds as 8195 and renumbered 60067 in the national numbering scheme. Although in service with a few different First divisions over the years it was latterly operated by First West Yorkshire in... Leeds again! Here it has been restored to 'Barbie' livery, as it was when with First Potteries, complete with blue wheels and those lovely road spay supressing bristles around the arches.

New to Rider York in 1995 for their Park & Ride Services and is still seen going strong in 2014 as seen here leaving White Rose Centre on the 9 service. It is currently the oldest First UK bus in the 'Olympia' livery. A joy to see it still going on, but how much longer will it last?

ConnexionsBuses S803 SJV is a Scania L94 Wright Axcess Floline which has previously been with Stagecoach - seen here leaving York at Holgate with the HCT route 412 to Wetherby, which then goes on to Harrogate as the X70.

Yet another new livery for Whippet, although it has been almost 2 years since the last new one which for them is rather good going! In my opinion this looks slightly better than the 'laid back W' scheme.

Another escapee from the Firstgroup clutches, but in a roundabout way, Scania L94UB Wright Axcess Floline T562 BSS was new to PMT but later went to First Chester (60216), but it then entered the Stagecoach fleet after they took over Wirral operations due to buying the First depot at Chester (becoming 28536 in the fleet)... it is now with ConnexionsBuses and is seen at the HCT yard.

Although the lights were lost at some point during its use with Firstgroup, I'm not so keen on buses from the Wrights classic range that don't have the central fog lights, they look a bit 'boss-eyed' to me - the First livery accentuated this, though now it's not as bad with the livery currently carried.

Seen here parked at depot is the oldest single decker in the fleet (also the oldest Ultralow out of the two)

Seen at Ipswich Depot, just after being collected from Rotherham, by me, after its repaint into Barbie livery.

That most unusual of vehicles - a withdrawn ex First bus in continuing service and not sent for scrap! This came about with First's sale of its Cheshire/Wirral business to Stagecoach, who bought several vehicles (including this one) with the sale. It was withdrawn after a short time by Stagecoach, still running in First colours but with Stagecoach branding, and sold on for further use (Stagecoach not having First's aversion to this practice), ending up with Harrogate Coach Travel. Unusually again - this is not the first ex First vehicle bought by Harrogate Coach Travel...
