I just returned from this year’s last Africa tour - it’s been a hell of a ride with trips to Namibia, Zambia, Botswana and South Africa. I shot close to 2TB, so I guess it’s safe to say it was productive. The next three weeks I will spend at home, catching up on emails, working on stuff I should have finished four months ago, and I will finally be able to do some image processing - it’s about time.
Next trip will be our Into The Cypress Swamps tour in Louisiana and Texas, USA. This is a very special tour, because everything is done from kayaks. The locations we will visit can not be reached by car or even by foot, so you have to paddle. It’s an entirely different experience.
What also makes it special, is the fact that it’s so ridiculously beautiful and surreal. On a quiet, misty morning, like in this image, you hear not a single sound except for the water drops falling from your paddle. Especially in the dark, an hour before sunrise, it’s eery - but in a nice way. Of all the places I have been, this is by far the one that always gets to me when I’m there. There’s nothing like it.
There are many places on our planet that are incredibly beautiful, but there’s nothing like gliding through the water in a forest of cypress trees.
This image was shot on a cold an misty morning. The person paddling in the middle is my wife Daniella. I asked her to paddle towards me because I like to include people in my swamps images. It adds scale and a sense of adventure to the shot, and, until recently, there were no swamp images with people paddling in them.
To get this shot I had to get out of the kayak and stand in the icy cold water to be able to use my tripod. The cold water may be uncomfortable, it’s actually a good thing because it means the alligators are inactive
This year’s tour is already fully booked, but there are still a few spots on next year’s Into The Cypress Swamps tour. If you like trees and a bit of adventure, you will love this. The paddling is easy, so you don’t need to be an athlete. Check it out on our website!

Hello! :)
I've been so lazy to take new pics of my dolls for posting. AND, I'm having hard time keeping up with friends new uploads cause I'm missing so many good photos with this Flickr page endless scrolling! :(
Don't you???
So I think the best way to keep in contact is always posting new pics and then go check everyone who leaves comments. I'm doing my best.
If you still didn't watch my latest video, its for Ringdoll video event, here is the link:

(feel free to share! ㋡ )
I think the winners will be announced in April.
Hope everyone is doing great.
I miss the "doll memes" and tag things here on Flickr as we used to do in the "past" LOL when Flickr was "simpler". I do it a lot on deviantArt, but I miss my Flickr friends so badly! ( ´͈ ॢꇴ `͈ॢ)・*♡

"There is only one day left, always starting over: it is given to us at dawn and taken away from us at dusk." - Jean-Paul Sartre

On the scale of Monday's; this wasn't the worst and not the best. The day falls somewhere in the middle of that scale and after the madness that was last week for me, I'm gladly take this medium.
I had hoped it would be quiet around the office today; and for a few hours this morning, that's just what I had. But by 9 people were trickling in and my solitude was disturbed.
Still; the advantage to getting there before the sun wakes up is that I generally have a bit of time to catch up on all the things that were left behind the day before, and allows for me to catch a glimpse of the sunrise.
Anyway, hope everyone has had a good day.

Even on a frigid, cloudless morning, it's still fascinating to witness the landscape come alive after a night of freshly fallen snow. It would be nice to have a few more before the season comes to an end.
Bry and I were down in Kanab last weekend spending a few nights at the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary just outside of town. The sanctuary is in a beautiful canyon with big red rock walls, full of vegetation (and lots of animals!), a perfect setting for some "easy" astrophotography. Despite being just 6 miles from town the skies are spectacularly dark, just a small amount of light pollution along the horizon. The first night we were there I decided to put to use my astro cam setup, an ASI2600mc Pro and Voigtlander 50mm APO, I need to dial in some tilt issues but overall it worked out well with the ASIAir controlling both the camera and mount (Sky Watcher AZ-GTi). Going forward I plan on using this setup to accomplish a very high resolution tracked and stacked mosaic of the Milky Way core region. A good initial run with the Sony E-mount lens on a 3D printed adapter for the camera! Now I just need to dial in some tilt and I think everything will be ready to go for the full mosaic.
Sky is a stack of 20 exposures, 10 x 30 seconds and 10 x 45 seconds at gain 100 at f2.8. Foreground is a single image, 2 minutes at gain 100 and f2.
Some of my bleeding hearts have awakened and are blossoming. Others are struggling with the wild temps and dryness.
I caught these two running around my house but they wouldn't tell me what they were doing. All they would say is that I have to wait until December 18th :-)
In response to many requests, we are launching a new hair base for the first time in seven years. The product name is ”AWAKEN".
■ All 180 BoM hair bases are managed in one easy-to-use HUD.
The pack contains more than 5 times the amount of LANEVO old hair bases at less than half the price. Each product is optimized for 5 different mesh heads.
180 hairbase details
Regular hairbase (1st hairbase) 90 colors
Gradient overlay hairbase (2nd haribase) 90 colors
The color buttons on the HUD have the same numbers as those on the LANEVO Hair HUD, allowing you to reproduce the same colors as the hair, including gradients, in the hairbase.
>To eliminate texture distortion and misalignment, a dedicated hairbase is created for each mesh head.
■ Optimized mesh heads
-EvoX
-LeLUTKA Evolution (LeLUTKA)
-Catwa
-Genus
-ASR
ASR does not officially support BoM, so it includes a BoM version and an applier version (no gradient).
We have then created and included a kit to convert the heads to BoM-compatible with a script.
Products include all features and are sold separately for each compatible mesh head.
■ Priced at L$380 each.
A lot of work has finally been completed to achieve high quality, high performance, and low cost. We think you will like it.
enjoy!

Morning in a glen. This particular glen would have been a quite industrial location in the mid 19th century. An attempt was made to mine zinc, copper and lead near the stream in the glen. The stream was channeled with a high level waterway to drive a large wheel, operating lifting gear and pumps in the mine. The mill wheel casing and house still stands to this day. I tried to imagine how it looked with tonnes of stone being moved in to construct the pillars, the equipment and horses, just to bring in the building materials. The mine owners decided they couldn't sustain losses much longer with this site and it all closed after just a few years. It's not easy to find many signs that it was all here. Now it's one of the protected national Glens. There are of course new threats to any of the glens with changes in invertebrate populations and more powerful winter storms. This glen serves as a reminder that recovery can take time, but it will come.

Relate within the same letter of life's law
As easy as a first breath of cherishment galore
Howsoever the day may have begun,
It's course in your hands may still be spun
That door remains open till the day is done
To welcome with opportune resolve life's home run
Call it emotional topiary, your garden, your space
No overnight fantasticism can over-emphasise apace
The quality of being the mirror before sightseeing seen,
Sets the beautified scene so miraculously serene
Renewable, inexhaustible, when finally found it's never lost
That is the feeling of being warmed at the touch of a Sun thawing frost
Two worlds away unite within the same second
As much as the first owes the last over which it is reckoned
Birthdays split the differences as we all move through time at the same pace
Every range of clock face imaginable and none a disgrace
It tells of antiquity within the presence of valour
And speaks a charmed silence which awaits and awakens within flowing candour.

it has been an unacceptable amount of time since the last time i've been here and it’s about time I’ll come back to create and share new photographs with you...
Here's the result from earlier this week when I randomly decided to take myself, my camera and tripod to the beach.
It's getting darker and darker here at South Pole these days. Now we can already see the first stars. It going to be a dark and cold winter for the next six months.
