St Cwyfan's Church in Llangadwaladr, Anglesey. Such an incredible location to visit. A beautiful medieval church, that can only be visited when the tide is at the right height. The hours flew by when exploring this area.
The Force Awakens had a lot of "whoa" moments for me, but this one was silent. Finn's bravery sent a tremor down my spine. Finn looked terrified; like he had no idea what he was doing. All he knew was that he was defending his friend. He also knew he was probably gonna die doing so. This was his defining moment. Finn had reached the end of his character arc in this story. He started out as a villain and ended a true hero. Where will Finn's character go from here?
If you're interested, I posted a photo of how I took this shot here.
And if you're also interested, here is a before/after editing comparison shot.
The Morning Awakens
A 4am start yesterday hoping that the mist from the previous evening would still be with us...and it was. The is not too far from Penrith near Temple Sowerby. There is something about mist that just does it for me:) I could happily photograph in mist all day long.

Yes, its Bruce again! No, I wont stop posting images of him!
This absolute barnstormer of a sunrise coincided with me randomly deciding to head into this wood after I had taken my Mini s drone for its maiden flight nearby. From above I could see the mist was pushing into this small wood and figured there might be a small chance of some rays. Well, I got rays! More rays than a Star Wars space battle in fact. It was the most panicked I have ever been as a photographer, running round this tree-I use the word running but when you have the knees of an 80 year old its more like a drunk pirates staggering gait as he tries to stumble his way back to his hammock-trying to grab as many compositions of it as I could. Literally 5 minutes later the light and the mist were both gone and I was stood in the clearing next to Bruce with a huge grin on my face and my knees creaming at me to go home!
First light on Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes, Death Valley National Park. I was amazed by the interesting curves of the sand dunes which might keep changing with wind.
This photo was taken half an hour before sunrise, looking southeast. On the left, you can see the steam plume of the Gösgen nuclear power plant rising from the sea of fog. The Swiss Alps can also be seen faintly in the background.

Que mejor manera de combatir el frío que echar un poco la mirada atrás a esos cálidos momentos vividos este pasado verano. Espero que os guste y muchas gracias por vuestros comentarios. Saludos!

I stood there motionless, transfixed by whatever had caught my wandering eyes when I felt it. That gust of wind which was meant for me – a message I now know. As the first whisper passed upon my skin, goose bumps and shivers were left in its wake. My skin grew colder. The breeze continued to crawl upon me until it paused right outside of where my heart rest. It stopped only a second to listen to that beating song before it rushed through me and surrounded its caller with warmth. Yet this heat was entirely different than that from a spark of fire. This heat which was inside of me is only obtained through one glorious light. So different was it from the chilled touches which were quickly fading on my skin - now I could feel warmth traveling through my veins. I felt myself being lifted; my arms moved outward and a voice echoed from my heart:
“My Child, do not fear. All will be well.”
The heated light left my body but I will always remember its embrace. I was brought back into reality by a fluttering of my eyes. I found that my arms were still crossed tightly and my back hunched from the cold. It was as though nothing happen – but I could still feel my heart skipping. I realized to an outsider I most likely looked lost in thought or perhaps daydreaming; it was only a matter of seconds when this happened – unlike the many hours which I was sure had passed. For me, time stood still as I was awakened.
And so it always will be whenever I recall the promises of that fleeting echo.

I am not a writer by any means so there should be some grammatical mistakes there. I had to get that out because that feeling was so similar to one I just recently had.
And the bow was inspired by Christmas :)
the garden is beginning to awaken.
i bought the acer last year. it's survived the winter :)
in the foreground is another survivor a lime green flowered patio hydrangea and to the right bordering is blue aubretia
the blackcurrant canes also to the right are doing well and the kniphofias behind the acer are happy after their relocation last year
i've had plenty of failures in other parts of the garden mainly due to my over watering, not enough horticultural grit in the soil for drainage, my cats doing their business but that comes with having cats (i clear it up but the damage is done), planting in the wrong place and so on. if i list the failures i'll get depressed :(
so onward i've bought some replacements
climbing roses red flowered 'paul scarlet', yellow flowered 'arthur bell', and single petalled pink flowered 'rosa',
a forsythia, a clematis 'polish spirit' (not looking good at the moment), one day lilies and a blue flowered plant the name i've forgotten.
all these plants came from wilkos and poundland each costing between £1 and £4
not in the photo i've sown some seeds coriander, rosemary and lemon balm in small tin pots hanging from the trellis fencing and sweet peas in terracotta pots. i'll see how it goes ...
for many years my garden was a shrubbery flic.kr/p/Lhv9ag which i loved. a picket fence covered in an ivy hedge coming down in a storm meant that over time changes had to happen flic.kr/p/2mn2x8a i'll be glad when the trellis is covered in honeysuckle and jasmine. that's the plan ...

The three units that will eventually assist PO-74 up to Mt. Pocono emit a bit of signature ALCO exhaust while being repositioned at Bridge 60.

Just before sunrise on a misty morning, a Roseate Spoonbill and a Juvenile Little Blue Heron start to stir.

I just returned from this year’s last Africa tour - it’s been a hell of a ride with trips to Namibia, Zambia, Botswana and South Africa. I shot close to 2TB, so I guess it’s safe to say it was productive. The next three weeks I will spend at home, catching up on emails, working on stuff I should have finished four months ago, and I will finally be able to do some image processing - it’s about time.
Next trip will be our Into The Cypress Swamps tour in Louisiana and Texas, USA. This is a very special tour, because everything is done from kayaks. The locations we will visit can not be reached by car or even by foot, so you have to paddle. It’s an entirely different experience.
What also makes it special, is the fact that it’s so ridiculously beautiful and surreal. On a quiet, misty morning, like in this image, you hear not a single sound except for the water drops falling from your paddle. Especially in the dark, an hour before sunrise, it’s eery - but in a nice way. Of all the places I have been, this is by far the one that always gets to me when I’m there. There’s nothing like it.
There are many places on our planet that are incredibly beautiful, but there’s nothing like gliding through the water in a forest of cypress trees.
This image was shot on a cold an misty morning. The person paddling in the middle is my wife Daniella. I asked her to paddle towards me because I like to include people in my swamps images. It adds scale and a sense of adventure to the shot, and, until recently, there were no swamp images with people paddling in them.
To get this shot I had to get out of the kayak and stand in the icy cold water to be able to use my tripod. The cold water may be uncomfortable, it’s actually a good thing because it means the alligators are inactive
This year’s tour is already fully booked, but there are still a few spots on next year’s Into The Cypress Swamps tour. If you like trees and a bit of adventure, you will love this. The paddling is easy, so you don’t need to be an athlete. Check it out on our website!

So I think the best way to keep in contact is always posting new pics and then go check everyone who leaves comments. I'm doing my best.
If you still didn't watch my latest video, its for Ringdoll video event, here is the link:

I miss the "doll memes" and tag things here on Flickr as we used to do in the "past" LOL when Flickr was "simpler". I do it a lot on deviantArt, but I miss my Flickr friends so badly! ( ´͈ ॢꇴ `͈ॢ)・*♡

"There is only one day left, always starting over: it is given to us at dawn and taken away from us at dusk." - Jean-Paul Sartre
-----
On the scale of Monday's; this wasn't the worst and not the best. The day falls somewhere in the middle of that scale and after the madness that was last week for me, I'm gladly take this medium.
I had hoped it would be quiet around the office today; and for a few hours this morning, that's just what I had. But by 9 people were trickling in and my solitude was disturbed.
Still; the advantage to getting there before the sun wakes up is that I generally have a bit of time to catch up on all the things that were left behind the day before, and allows for me to catch a glimpse of the sunrise.
Anyway, hope everyone has had a good day.

"... And they had forsaken their mortal shells so easily. She only needed to whisper sweet nothings to sate their appetites now. Her Infernal tongue had promised them the land of milk of honey; fields of golden paradise; leagues upon leagues of ecstasy. They only needed to fulfill their promise to populate Her Garden, tend Her Garden, and never stray from Her Garden. And so they did, with the wings of a butterfly."
"... They're damned creatures. So beautiful, yet so hideous as She. It seems they mirror their Maker."
"Beware the kiss of a butterfly, for it may be one of Hers. Marking you for the next tribute to the grand Dusk Mass - this is the Soul Collector's sole objective."
