The beach at Goring-by-Sea your classic West Sussex beach; a long stretch of pebbles and shingle separated by wooden groynes mark the high tide mark. Beyond this is an expanse of flat sand.
To the rear of the beach is a large grassy area which is separated from the beach by a narrow paved area that runs from the Sea Lane Cafe to Worthing. Much of this path is lined with traditional wooden beach huts.
West Sussex is packed with interesting places to go, fun things to do and sights to see. The county is full of stately homes, vibrant market towns, beautiful countryside, villages which resonate with history
While on a walk , saw this energetic and charming scamp busy gathering acorns on the back porch of a house ....and zoomed in to capture the furry thief in the act :-))) ...
I wonder what will happen to that acorn in his mouth ? If he forgets the place where he buried it , maybe it will be a giant oak tree 100 years from now ! Nature is amazing :-)

Autumn according to the meteorological calendar begins in September and ends in November. In the astronomical calendar, the beginning of autumn is marked by the autumn equinox which occurs around the 22 September.
During the autumn equinox the sun shines directly on the equator and day and night around the globe are of almost equal length - a day and night of roughly 12 hours each.
' Nature gives to every time and season some beauties of its own; and from morning to night, as from the cradle to the grave, it is but a succession of changes so gentle and easy that we can scarcely mark their progress '.
--- Charles Dickens

Autofocus wouldn't work - it couldn't decide what to focus on with the strong contrasting lines. Had to use manual focus.

"The falling leaves drift by the window
The autumn leaves of red and gold
I see your lips, the summer kisses
The sun-burned hands I used to hold
Since you went away the days grow long
And soon I'll hear old winter's song
But I miss you most of all my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall."
- ' Autumn Leaves', Lyrics by Johnny Mercer and Jacques Prévert

A crossing to the Bandstand .......
Beautiful and truly unique, The Bandstand is located on Brighton's vibrant seafront. The Bandstand first opened in 1884. It was restored to its original specification and reopened in 2009.
Winter is the coldest season of the year in polar and temperate climates, between autumn and spring. Winter is caused by the axis of the Earth in that hemisphere being oriented away from the Sun.
Melanargia galathea, Schachbrettfalter, Marbled White.
