On the first weekend in June I will be visiting one of my favorite automobile places, the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, MI.
Here is a shot taken from the street outside the 1928 Ford dealership which is across the street from the Franklin Automobile dealership circa 1918. Just beyond the Ford dealership you can see the 1948 Cadillac/LaSalle dealership which is across the street from the 1920’s Lincoln dealership. Also vintage old barns full of rare classic automobiles and the Gilmore Museum Heritage Center packed full as well, and much more. Are you starting to see why I kind of like this place?
The Classis Car Club Museum of America will be holding their two day big events coming up on June 4 and 5. Saturday the 4th is the CCCA Grand Classic, and Sunday the 5th, the CCCA 30th Anniversary Grand Experience on the grounds of the Gilmore Car Museum campus which also houses the CCCA Museum.
I will be attending this two day event and meeting up with several other Flickr contacts, extraordinary photographer sjb4photos, super talented graphic artist (The) Appleman, and automobile historian granttt73. This will be my third year joining up with this group of distinguished gentlemen for this event.
An automobile enthusiast's event well worth attending!

Het oog is 'n televisiecamera, die de op het netvlies ontvangen beelden in de vorm van electrische stromen naar de "gezichtsheuvels" zendt (2). Hier wordt het beeld ontwikkeld en door het volgende neuron naar het gezichtsveld achterin de hersenen geleid, waar het wordt bekeken, herkend en verwerkt (3) en tenslotte opgeborgen als herinneringsbeeld (4). Zo worden ook de bijbehorende woorden en klanken op door associatievezels verbonden plaatsen opgeborgen in het acoustische en woordherinneringscentrum (5), dat op zijn beurt verbonden is met het spraakcentrum (6). Dit centrum drukt dan op het toetsenbord van zijn spreekorgel een lettergreepklavier naar beneden. Daardoor worden in de motorische zône bepaalde groepen van cellen geprikkeld (8) en deze zenden de nodige actiestromen naar de spieren van het spreekapparaat, die de toonreeks "auto" moeten reproduceren.

If I’m going to keep rebuilding this thing, I may as well try to do some things differently. I’m hyper fixated on chassis detail and boiler proportions. Trying to use different snot techniques to create ‘lip’ for the smoke box and fire box to show the separated sections. I’ve also tried to utilize some different techniques in the cab to accommodate opening firebox doors and allow movement in the levers and valves.
Idk if I’ll ever be happy with this MOC, but until another engine captures my desire like this auto tank or the terrier before it, I’m just going to keep fiddling I guess lol
