Mit fabrikneuen Autos der Audi AG sowie ein paar wenigen Kesselwagen am Zugende konnte 152 018-8 in der bekannten Kurve zwischen Breitenfurt und Dollnstein im Altmühltal fotografiert werden.
With brand new cars from Audi AG and a few tank cars at the end of the train, 152 018-8 could be photographed in the well-known curve between Breitenfurt and Dollnstein in the Altmühl Valley.
An SD60F and a C40-8W lead a westbound through Durand. Based on the auto parts and auto racks, I think this was M399.

The cab of ex-BR Auto Trailer No. 231. Built 1951 and preserved in 1964. The forerunner of the DMU, they allowed trains to run back and forth along rural branch lines without the need for the locomotive to detach and run around its train at each end of the journey.
The coach is now preserved at Didcot Railway Centre.

This sign has graced the now-closed Paul Del Grande auto parts store in Campbell for decades, but I drove by last week and it is gone. I am told that it was sold to a collector. A few years ago it was restored to perfect working order, I think by the family. I will miss seeing it as I drive that stretch of road.
After a dull and, at times, very wet day, I decided that things might be about to pick up so headed to Burrs for a potential sunset silhouette. My optimism of an improvement was not to be. Here, in teeming rain, Collett 6400 Class no. 6430 and its auto coaches head north at Burrs on the 15.45 Heywood to Rawtenstall service on the 24th October 2015 during the ELR's 'Western Wheels' Weekend.
