The province of Nan is located in the north of Thailand and borders Laos. It is one of the lesser known provinces of Thailand, but is known for its natural beauty, rich culture and ancient history. It's a great place to visit if you're looking for adventure and relaxation in nature. Road 1256 passes through the mountains of Nan and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding nature. Almost the most beautiful road in Thailand, the view on the side of the road is very beautiful, if you go during the rainy season, the atmosphere will be very good. You can see the green along the two sides of the road on the ridge. In some parts you can see the beautiful view of rice fields over the hills. It may be overgrown on some parts of the road. There are several interesting sights and activities to enjoy along the way. It's great for bird watching, camping, and hiking, and you're unlikely to meet many other people while exploring. You can also visit the Doi Phu Kha National Park, which is known for its beautiful waterfalls, lush forests and spectacular views. Wonderfully cool weather all year round. In addition, there are also several hill tribe villages along the way, where you have the chance to experience the local culture and traditions.
Thailand is home to several beautiful national parks that showcase the country's diverse natural beauty. The Doi Phu Kha National Park is located near the border between Thailand and Laos. The National Park is also home to the highest mountain peak in the province. The highest point is also called Doi Phu Kha at an altitude of 1,920 meters. If you are traveling to Doi Phu Kha National Park from Nan, I will definitely recommend staying here for a night. Most of the year the weather is nice and the view is stunning early in the morning. A moderate intensity nature trail with a large map detailing the route starts behind the National Park Visitor Center and continues for 2km, ending at a small village. The most beautiful is the viewpoint with a very large 1715 digits representing the height of the point. There is also a campground near the area. But you have to bring your own tent. It takes about 2 hours to complete. However, there is definitely some climbing to do. Please wear trekking boots for the hike. Het is één van de minder bekende provincies van Thailand, maar staat bekend om zijn natuurlijke schoonheid, rijke cultuur en oude geschiedenis. Het is een geweldige plek om te bezoeken als je op zoek bent naar avontuur en ontspanning in de natuur. De weg 1256 loopt door de bergen van Nan en biedt een adembenemend uitzicht op de omliggende natuur. Bijna de mooiste weg in Thailand, het uitzicht aan de kant van de weg is erg mooi, als je tijdens het regenseizoen gaat, zal de sfeer erg goed zijn. Het is geweldig om vogels te spotten, te kamperen en te wandelen, en het is onwaarschijnlijk dat je veel andere mensen tegenkomt tijdens het verkennen. Je kunt ook een bezoek brengen aan de Doi Phu Kha National Park, dat bekend staat om zijn prachtige watervallen, weelderige bossen en spectaculaire uitzichten. Heerlijk koel weer het hele jaar door. Daarnaast zijn er ook verschillende bergstammen-dorpen langs de weg, waar je de kans hebt om de lokale cultuur en tradities te ervaren. Het Nationaal Park is ook de thuisbasis van, de hoogste bergtop in de provincie. Het hoogste punt wordt ook wel Doi Phu Kha genoemd op een hoogte van 1.920 meter. Als je vanuit Nan naar Doi Phu Kha National Park reist, zal ik je zeker aanraden om hier een nacht te blijven. Het grootste deel van het jaar is het mooi weer en het uitzicht is verbluffend vroeg in de ochtend. Een natuurpad van matige intensiteit met een grote kaart met de details van de route begint achter het bezoekerscentrum van het Nationaal park en gaat 2 km lang door en eindigt bij een klein dorp. Het mooiste is het uitkijkpunt met een zeer grote 1715 cijfers die de hoogte van het punt weergeeft. Er is ook een camping in de buurt van het gebied. Maar je moet je eigen tent meenemen. Het duurt ongeveer 2 uur om te voltooien. Er is echter zeker wat te klimmen. Draag trekking schoenen voor de wandeling. De moesson is niet de beste tijd om dit te doen, aangezien er veel bloedzuigers en andere reptielen zijn die je misschien niet op prijs stelt.

SCOUT: “Hullo everybody! Guess what? Mijn best vriend Peter has decided to dress up like a garden gnome with a beard and a tall red hat! He looks very authentic. He has invited me to play garden gnomes with him, but I don’t have a tall pointed red hat like he has or a fluffy beard, so I have asked Daddy if he can help make me one. I am doing some research about gnomes in a big book that Daddy has which he is letting me look through.
Look! Gnomes have tall red hats, just like in the picture. Daddy is going to make me one out of red paper. Dolly is going to play gnomes with me, but she doesn’t need Daddy to make her a hat, because she already has a red pointed hat. And look, gnomes have funny fluffy beards. Daddy says that he will make me one out of cotton wool! He is going to make one for Dolly too, because Dolly doesn’t have a fluffy beard.
Oh, and look! It says that gnomes are fifteen centimetres in height without their hats. Well, I am seventeen centimetres tall, so I think that makes me just perfect gnome height! How exciting!”
My bears Paddy and Scout have made very good friends with two bears in Holland called Peter and Oleg (www.flickr.com/photos/40262251@N03/galleries/721577154558...) and their Mummy (www.flickr.com/photos/66094586@N06/) . Peter and Scout are very similar and have become best friends. Peter is indeed pretending to be a garden gnome, and he is doing a very good job of it. Peter has asked Scout to play with him, so I had better get on with making his pointy red hat out of paper and making a fluffy beard for he and Dolly out of cotton wool.
Scout is reading my book of Gnomes with text by Wil Huygen and illustrated by Rein Poortvliet published by Harry N. Abrams in 1977.
Scout was a gift to my bear Paddy from my friend. He is a Fair Trade Bear hand knitted in Africa. His name comes from the shop my friend found him in: Scout House. He tells me that life was very different where he came from, and Paddy is helping introduce him to many new experiences. Scout catches on quickly, and has proven to be a cheeky, but very lovable member of our closely knit family. He also loves any excuse to get dressed up and play games that use his imagination!

imported from Japan, not cheap, this uni (sea urchin) is special, Sakura Restaurant, Lakeway, TX. I am thrilled to now have two excellent Japanese restaurants only a few minutes from my house in sleepy Lakeway, TX. Sony A6500 and Sigma E60/2.8. The A6500 IBIS helped with this hand held, low light shot.
This weeks theme for Macro Monday is: The English alphabet is made up of 26 letters, 5 of which are vowels (a, e, i, o, u) and the rest of which are consonants.
So, for this week’s macro theme we will be photographing something that starts with a vowel (the letter a, e, i, o, u). This can be the subject (eg apple, egg, umbrella) or an adjective (eg instant coffee, orange wool – the ‘i’ in instant and the ‘o’ for orange meet the rules of the theme, therefore photographs would be accepted. Equally, any object starting with a vowel is accepted too; it does not have to have an adjective, it can simply be something starting with a, e, i, o or u.
On my travels I have always looked for 'special' decorations to hang on our Christmas tree. Ideally it should have some sentimental value.
Of all those we have collected our Christmas cactus from Arizona is my favourite. We came across it on our second big road trip around the SouthWest of the USA. We found it at our next stop after The Grand Canyon South Rim, a place called Cameron Trading Post, a name that evokes the Wild West. Sure enough it is filled with native American stuff. And if I had had my way I would have walked out with a full Indian Chief feather headdress, but my wife said I looked ridiculous. Fortunately I found the little cactus decoration and was satisfied enough with that. It's over 20 years old already.
Orson Welles, it is supposed, said "I don’t know anything about art but I know what I like". I understand his position. Now I'm a pretender about to speculate on style…
See this cat flap stencil? Jump on the interweb and you can buy yourself one. Even if it is attributable to Banksy, if you use it, the splatters on the wall aren't a Banksy. Come to think of it, a stencil for those rats around the corner is out there for you to buy too! What am I saying? Am I ratting on the "artist"? Maybe.
If we accept that the cat flap is Banksy-style, and possibly of dubious provenance, has Banksy so wildly deviated in style to apply that sloppy thought bubble caption?
I think I'm about to call it…there's enough uncertainty contained in those commercial stencils and out of character style. As much as I want these to be works by Banksy, that doesn't make them works by Banksy. I'm sad. But I accept there are pretenders out there content to do these things; carelessly misleading.

There are various reasons described there for rolling out this series, and know that this is not just a re-posting of old pics. This is a new more-authentic look at some classic pics of mine.
This pic is from Halloween 1995. After getting a makeover at a regular beauty salon in LA, and going out shopping en femme, I changed into the party dress seen here and went to get some long red acrylic nails put on at this nail salon. These were my first such nails, and (with the hair shaved off my hand) I was pleased with the very femme result. What do you think?
I hit the town for Halloween after this, in and around West Hollywood, and had a blast.

Borroum"s Drug Store founded in 1865 by former CSA army surgeon A.J. Borroum. It is the oldest drug store in continuous operation in the state. It houses Native-American artifacts, Civil War relics, and an authentic working soda fountain; the business owned and operated, by the Borroum family since its establishment.
This steam locomotive was first driven In 1813, George Stephenson became aware that William Hedley and Timothy Hackworth were designing a locomotive for the Wylam coal mine. So at the age of twenty, George Stephenson began the construction of his first locomotive. It should be noted that at this time in history, every part of the engine had to be made by hand, and hammered into shape just like a horseshoe. John Thorswall, a coal mine blacksmith, was George Stephenson's main assistant.
