New York City Scholar's Garden is one of two authentic classic Chinese outdoor gardens built in the United States.
On the Snug Harbor Botanical Garden premises, a classic Chinese outdoor garden appeared, made in the style of the gardens of the Ming dynasty, which ruled in China in the XIV-XVII centuries.
This garden's architectural components were made and imported from Suzhou, China, including roof tiles, columns, beams, doors and windows, bridges, and floor and walkway paving materials.
Pigadia, the major port and capital of Karpathos, is not exactly beautiful. The architecture is mixed. Most buildings are modern cubes with balconies and straight lines, not ostentatious but functional, but some houses - like this one - are built in an eclectic style with local colors in traditional international elements and are quite beautiful with arches and balusters.
Staying here is enjoyable, as there are no cars in the city center, and you can eat a variety of dishes, from local cuisine to pizza, Chinese, Mexican and other international food.

I went to what was formerly known to me as Fall Trace looking for a whole different shot and found myself mesmerized by the peaceful surroundings, the colors, the tranquility ...I truly enjoyed myself here .. I try as a whole not to inundate flickr with a ton of shots but man I had so many that I couldn't resist adding atleast two ..lol. I hope you all like .. and visit and shoot ..it is so beautiful.

"Who would imagine there’s an authentic Chinese tea house hugging the Cliff Walk in Newport? Behind the incredible Marble House, at the bottom of its sloping lawn stands this little treasure with incredible views of the Atlantic. Marble House is a gilded era mansion built between 1888 and 1892 and was the summer cottage of Alva and William Vanderbilt. It cost approximately 11 million dollars to build, and it was given to Alva by her husband on her 39th birthday.
After they divorced, she married Oliver H.P. Belmont and became Alva Belmont. She is known as an ardent crusader for women’s equality and gave thousands of dollars to the National Women’s Party to advance women’s rights. After her second husband’s death in 1908, she re-opened Marble House and had the Chinese Tea House built on the cliffs. It was here that she held her rallies for women’s right to vote."

Beypazarı is a municipality and district of Ankara Province, Türkiye. Its area is 1,697 km2, and its population is 48,357 (2022). The name Beypazarı means The Bey's market in Turkish, as in the Ottoman period this was an important military base and the cavalry stationed here were an important element of the local economy.
Beypazarı today is a small town in a rural district famous for its carrots, (producing nearly 60% of Turkey's carrots), silverwork (Telkari), and a high quality natural mineral water. The crystal mineral trona, a kind of natural soda used in glass-making is extracted in Beypazarı. With its rich history, architectural heritage and attractive rocky countryside Beypazarı is becoming increasingly attractive to visitors, especially day-trippers from Ankara. The cobbled streets of white Ottoman period buildings are particularly attractive; many of the old houses have been restored as hotels and restaurants (and are also popular with Turkish film directors looking for authentic locations. Every June the town holds its popular Traditional Historical Houses, Handicrafts, Carrot and stew Festival. The visitors of course are bringing valuable income to the town, shopping for silverware and providing good custom for the food markets and restaurants.
For many visitors a major attraction is the cuisine, which includes typical Turkish dishes such as the yoghurt drink ayran, cracked wheat (or flour), yoghurt, and vegetables fermented then dried and mixed with water to make a thick soup tarhana, stuffed vine leaves, home-made sausage mumbar, and a stew cooked in a stone-oven called güveç. Sweets include the sweet cream pudding called höşmerim and pastries including a dry buttery biscuit called Beypazarı kurusu, and a renowned 80-layer baklava.
Beypazarı is a member of the European Association of Historic Towns and Regions (EAHTR).

This is an authentic Japanese garden located on Daikon Island, which floats in Lake Nakaumi. The island is famous for its peonies and ginseng. During Golden Week, when the peonies are at their peak bloom for the year, a breathtaking spectacle called "Chisen Botan" appears, filling the pond with 30,000 peony blossoms and captivating numerous visitors.

An authentic portable grain threshing machine, as found long since abandoned in the corner of a field outside the town of Pocklington, East Yorkshire, U.K.
This wooden-bodied agricultural machine probably dates to the very early 20th century, circa 1900s, possibly even earlier. However, I have no idea what exact year this machine was built, who the manufacturer was, or why this was simply left abandoned here. Evidently, this contraption has been here for a very long time, sitting and rotting for several decades. It seems several of its once-moving parts are still in-place, and although in very rough shape, has not deteriorated as badly as it possibly could have, given the years of harsh winters (it isn’t a mound of dust yet!). Note the extra auxiliary steel implements sitting next to the thresher, respectively.
Nowadays, it is quite rare to find a relic of this vintage simply abandoned, out in the open, close to a country lane. Even more surprising is that in all this time, the thresher was not vandalised with graffiti, torched by arsonists, or removed for scrap/timber.
Do you ever find those places where it seems like you took a step back in time? A place uninterrupted by modern developments of civilization. That is what this place felt like to me, and I loved it! It is so sweet to find hidden gems like this where you can leave the world as we know it for a moment and can take time to soak it all in. These are the places that I feel like I grow closest to the Lord. I am so thankful that there are still places like this left and that He grants us time to go to them and rest in His presence and bask in His goodness!
Another spectacular, iconic, breathtaking landscape of the southwestern US. This land is part of the Navajo reservation, and again, through their grace, we are allowed the opportunity to visit, to be awed, to be stunned in wonderment by this monumental place.
I have always loved the paintings of Frederic Remington. Having recently visited the Southwest, I appreciate his artistic genius all the more. He captured the light and colors so authentically, he had to have such intimate knowledge and passion for his subject.
