Oct 10 aurora was so amazing. I can't decide which of my MANY photos I like best so here's one for starters I am sure people's photos are all over the internet by now, and if you missed it maybe you can get a chance to see it tonight. This one reminds me of the rainbow sorbet that my grandsons love. Nova Scotia doesn't get too many of these shows so anyone who witnessed this one will never forget it. (no saturation added)
This was my first time being able to capture full sky blue and purple auroras. In the past I had only been ablte to capture verty small patches mixed in with the typical green. Definitely very cool to see. This image was shot near Knik River, AK
Arizona aurora borealis...night sky 5-10-24
I had no idea this was happening!
light trails and the moon
This fall in Yellowknife, me and another 6 photographers observed a truly amazing light, pretty much like a phoenix, flying over the tundra.
In one of my night photography workshops, me and two clients observed something truly beautiful, milky way (even though not quite obvious), light polluted clouds and aurora borealis. I once again sat there to enjoy the scene, good night, lake Minnewanka.
Archieves. Over the years I've seen lots out the backdoor. This was one of the better northern lights so close to St.Albert Alberta.
Took this shot on 3/3/2023. It is an image of a frozen Kashwitna Lake during a full moon. If you look closely, you can see Denali. It's along the horizon, directly under the brightest part of the aurora
Happy Tetons Tuesday. Revisiting the spectacular aurora display from last May. It would be nice to see it in the area again, even if it is not as intense as this show was. Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming, USA, May 2024

Taken in the north Atlantic about 150 miles south west of Iceland on board the cruise ship Ambience. Captain Egel very kindly switched off the deck lights to allow these phots to be taken.
One of the last nights of this remarkable trip to the most northern part of Europe. It’s already 2:02am when the sky opens up and the camera catches the Aurora, dancing over the sky while theres already the upcoming dawning of the new day. It’s end of March and only some weeks to later until midnight Sun. Noticed that little spot of light on the left close to the lighthouse on the Barentssea? This is the southbound Hurtigruten boat.
Its a two portrait image Panorama taken with 14mm Samyang lens
