Okay, I realize this photo looks pretty weird. It's a panorama showing almost 180° top to bottom showing the full height of the atrium. The bottom (which is actually Deck 3 on the ship) is where the gangway entry is located.
May 15, 2019 - The first stop today was a tour of Frank Lloyd Wright's Unitarian Meeting House located at 900 University Bay Drive in Madison, Wisconsin.
"Inspired by Wright’s original work, the Atrium Addition was opened in 2008 boasting a Gold-level LEED certification. The 24,000-square-foot Atrium is home to our Sunday morning services, as well as a host of other events and activities. Along with the Auditorium, the Atrium addition is also home to our children’s education classrooms, our library, and a state-of-the-art kitchen." This is a shot of the atrium at the Orlando World Center. I watched for the light to get just right (for me at least) and shot when it cast what I thought to interesting shadows at different angles. I thought the round globe and all the angles to be interesting. You should have seen the people looking at me as I crawled, climbed and stood upside down on the stairs to get a number of shots :)
Image from the 2012 Planet Comicon convention in Overland Park, Kansas. This is the atrium room, where the main programming was held -- a horrible area for programming! Bright sunlight that got temperatures really high, and which blinded the panelists. Admittedly, the facility didn't really have many other programming rooms, but this was awful! Note the fans in the homemade Buck Rogers in the 25th Century uniforms walking in the foreground.

A small town 7 miles from my home recently received a grant to build a new prestigious art centre available to students and the community. The local NOVA group of artists were invited to produce work for the opening. Along with other members I visited the construction and art department of the school to get inspired to create work for submission. I am producing one canvas 40" long with three images.
