The cafe in the atrium of the Morgan Library, Manhattan, provides interesting patterns in light and shadow. The atrium is part of a major expansion to the Morgan Library designed by Pritzker Prize–winning architect Renzo Piano. We visit this museum almost every time we visit New York City as the exhibits are interesting and well curated.

The famous Atrium space designed by Normal Foster. I've been wanting see and experience this space from the first time I saw it in Architecture Record years ago. The place did not disappoint as it is just as incredible as the pictures... and then some... I had an even overcast sky when we visited, but I'm kind of glad, though having the atrium framing cast strong shadows might of worked really well too.
Tour Tease Tuesday (Drysdale Student Center) - students climb the stairs in the main atrium...from this perspective you can see the wall of donors (1st floor) designed by 1717 Design Group (LC alumni - John '79 & Laura Crank '79), a glass etching on the 3rd floor, and vaulted ceilings with gorgeous exposed wood! WOW. You'll have to visit campus during Homecoming to see all of the ways in which alumni are recognized throughout the space.
