I had just about enough time on my Sunday trip to Aberdeen to go into the new library at the university that has been built over the past couple of years. It finally opened at the start of the current academic year.

You can apparently get passes to explore the building and see the fine views for miles around. On this occasion just enough time to wow at the atrium and try and figure out how best to get a shot of it.

The library, with its coffee bar and exhibition space on the ground floor is definitely a very different experience - both visually and nasally - from the QML.

7.5.2013. Designed by Foster and Partners, the British Museum's atrium (or the Queen Elizabeth II Great Court as its officially known) has covered the previously hidden inner courtyard and made it into Europe's largest covered public square.

It's a cloudy, rainy day in Edmonton. Benjamin got sprung from his room to try out the piano in the hospital atrium. While he was playing, the sun came out and shone down on him. He got a big round of applause from the 30 or so people there today.

Kinderfestival De Betovering in het Atrium

Tot en met zondag 23 oktober 2011 is het kinderfestival De Betovering in het Atrium van het stadhuis Den Haag. Een festival met muziek, dans, acrobatiek, een kunstwerk en een theatervoorstelling.

Kunstwerk voor kinderen

Tijdens het festival staat het elastieken kunstwerk This is not where I am van kunstenaar Robbert de Goede vanaf vrijdag 14 oktober tot en met zondag 23 oktober in het Atrium van het stadhuis. Het kunstwerk is mooi om naar de kijken, maar nog véél leuker om in te gaan staan en te gaan spelen.

The Guggenheim (officially the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum). Founded by the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation in 1937 as the Museum of Non-Objective Painting, it was renamed after it's founder's death in 1952.

The current building was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) and built in 1959.
