My rheumatologist's office is on the sixth floor of the Atrium Building at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois...quite possibly one of the most beautiful buildings for indoor photographs I have experienced.
Atrium, designed by Alex Jacque, is a sturdy, linear, geometric sans-serif display typeface based off century-old pen art by W.E. Dennis.
Atrium’s stubbornly geometric letterforms are set off with a few softening flourishes on a few glyphs. It’s sharp corners, straight verticals and horizontals make Atrium pack some punch when used in headlines, pull quotes, and logotypes.
Atrium was released in 2012 in OpenType format and comes in three different weights: light, regular, and bold, with a regular and oblique version of each for a total of 6 styles in the family.

A family holiday visit to the British Museum. I haven't been there for years and was impressed with the new atrium that now covers the central court yard and library.
Still groggy from jet lag I took on the Louvre - not an easy task - this world class museum is huge - and then some - it seems to go on forever. I am so glad I'm not blond because it is very hard to navigate and it's easy to get lost. Despite that, the history, sculptures, and art pieces are incredible. If you have the chance this is definitely worth checking out!
I took these photos in January 2013.
