For this photo assignment I needed to show motion. So this is a self portrait of me playing my violin.
Image taken for 'Project 52" assigment 3.
This wasn't the image I was planning on using, but the image I liked more compositionally (and lighting-wise) had a glaring problem with it - namely the sellotape holding the cables together. In this shot it's cunningly hidden by the blue USB.
Post-production from original:
Crop performed in lightroom.
Levels adjusted a little to solve problem of under exposure. Mask added on bottom to stop foreground becoming too light.
Light dodging performed on the foreground to darken just a tad, as it was a touch too bright.
I originally added some curves, but didn't like the desaturation that occurred, so I masked it all out except on the red phono leads which were popping a little too red.
my total fave of this assignment. I love how the bokeh echos the shape of the ball and how the ball seems to float.

The reason that made me choose the sunkist to describe the importance of oldness and our past is because we all liked it and maybe it was like a must in every home. Nowadays, Kuwaiti people replaced the sunkist with starbucks drinks, the Batra and KDD icecream with pinkberry.. they replaced many other things which leads us to talk about ethics and morals. I think Kuwaiti person has been changed; they are not the same of old ones. for example; Kuwaiti woman in the past was not allowed to travel alone or even to go out of her home alone, but now its ok but she is still maintaining the customs and traditions of her family and her country even with this development nowadays. So everyone should maintain his past and his old traditions and ethics beacause person who does not have past, will not have a future. As we say it in our local language: اللي ماله أول ماله تالي
Taken with Canon EOS 5D with 85 mm f3.5L. Scene is lit by indirect light coming in from window to the left and two sunlight reflectors: one to the right of the table and one below the camera. I positioned the camera on a tripod above the table top to shoot down at the ingredients. CS welcome.
