Die Pinakothek der Moderne in München, von dem umstrittenen (zumindest streitbaren) erfolgreichen Architekten, Stephan Braunfels, der doch hier einige "Anleihen" von Axel Schultes, Kunstmuseum Bonn und Bundeskanzleramt, Berlin, übernommen zu haben scheint, wie auch Braunfels Paul-Löbe-Haus und Marie-Elisabeth-Lüders-Haus, Berlin, mit Schultes Bundeskanzleramt erstaunlich harmonieren ;-) ...
Bereits bei der Bauübergabe im Jahr 2002 hat Braunfels dem Freistaat Bayern eine Liste mit mehr als 200 Mängeln vorgelegt („die jedoch bis heute nicht behoben seien“). Der Architekt verwahrte sich dagegen, dass sein Name mit dem Begriff „Pfusch am Bau“ in Verbindung gebracht werde. „Der Kostenrahmen war von Anfang an viel zu niedrig. Man ging von 400 Euro für den Kubikmeter umbauten Raum aus, der Mittelwert für 20 große, vergleichbare Museen in Deutschland und Europa hat damals hingegen schon 700 Euro betragen.“ Das Brandhorstmuseum habe zum Beispiel 1000 Euro pro Kubikmeter gekostet.

Schwellenbereiche ... die Übergänge ... mein Lieblingsthema ...
übrigens, der durch den Fensterbereich gezeigte "waagerechte" Schnitt geht durch das ganze Gebäude, der obere Teil liegt nur auf drei pyramidenförmigen Stützen im Innenbereich (eine davon habe ich euch schon gezeigt, die anderen werden folgen), die obere Etage schwebt nur dank Brückenbautechnik für die Statik ... so geht innovative Architektur ... ich werde euch auch noch eine Zweiseitenansicht zeigen (mehr geht ja nicht) ...
die linke helle, Betonfläche ist eine Springbrunnenanlage, die Hilde gut in Aktion fotografieren konnte, das Bild wird sie sicher noch bringen ...

The Wonderland Sculpture is an impressive and iconic piece of public art located in the plaza of The Bow Tower in downtown Calgary.
Artist: It was created by the acclaimed Catalan sculptor Jaume Plensa (born in Barcelona).
Description: It is a monumental portrait of a young girl's head, standing approximately 12 meters (39 feet) tall, constructed from a bent, painted steel wire mesh, which gives it a transparent and ethereal quality.
Meaning: The piece represents humanity and the "palace of dreams" of the province's young people. Plensa's intention is to link art, architecture, and society.
Unique Feature: Visitors are encouraged to walk inside the sculpture through an opening at the neck, allowing them to experience the artwork from within and view the city through the wire mesh.

Was testing some camera settings at home and happened to have it pointed at a nearby closet door when taking a test shot....which led to spending the next 20 minutes doing close-ups of door knobs in our house.

Das Phänomen der Snowclones ist nur schwer abgrenzbar; bisherige Auflistungen und Untersuchungen verwenden einen intuitiven, nicht durch Definitionen gestützten Korpus an Beispielen. Wir schlagen daher als Arbeitshypothese eine Definition des Snowclones vor, die sich auf drei Merkmale als Mindestanforderung stützt: Permutation, Prävalenz (vorherrschender Anteil) und Referenz.
Permutation (Vertauschung): Die Phrase muss syntaktisch und semantisch mehrere Permutationen erlauben.
Prävalenz: Die permutierte Phrase muss hinreichend verbreitet sein.
Referenz: Die permutierte Phrase muss für den kundigen Sprachanwender einen Bezug zur Originalphrase erkennen lassen oder nahelegen, dass eine solche Originalphrase existiert.

Zurückzuführen ist der Begriff auf die vermeintlich vielen Worte der Inuit für "Schneeweiß" ... und auf die Procol Harum-Lyrics von 1967 ...
