Just west of St. Louis, Missouri is a group of lakes called the Busch conservatino area. This is the most photographed of the lakes, Lake 33.
Looks like Mom got mad at Pop about that seat on the left and nailed 'er down!

Cliffs along the Atlantic Ocean in the civil parish of Dunquin (in Irish, Dún Chaoin), north of the westernmost tip of the Dingle Peninsula (in County Kerry, Munster Province, southwest Ireland), on a partly overcast afternoon in mid-May 2024.
The Dingle Peninsula is the northernmost of the five peninsulas of southwestern Ireland that stick out like fingers into the Atlantic Ocean. Its name in Irish is Corca Dhuibhne, sometimes Anglicised as Corkaguiny. The western Dingle is part of the Gaeltacht, one of the areas of the Republic of Ireland where Irish is officially designated as the primary spoken language.
This stretch of cliffs is across from the now-uninhabited Blasket Islands. This scene was taken from the viewing platform connected with the Blasket Centre (Irish name: Ionad an Bhlascaoid), which is run by the Blasket Foundation and the Irish Office of Public Works through its Heritage Ireland unit. The Blaskets – in Irish, Na Blascaodaí – fostered a traditional culture described through a well-known group of 20th-century Irish-language works by their inhabitants. The Centre provides extensive information about the geography, history, culture, and literature of the Blaskets.
In April 2024, the Irish government established the Kerry Seas National Park / Páirc Náisiúnta na Mara, Ciarraí, a marine national park that includes the Blaskets and surrounding waters. The Blaskets are also an EU-designated Natura 2000 Special Area of Conservation (SAC) and Special Protection Area (SPA).

You find this kind of houses all over the "Harz"area in Germany. This house was too close to the road ( a sort of motorway) but it was breathtaking.
We viewed 8 houses like this one and now we have to think about pro's and con's of each one of them.

Lake Audy (50.7552, -100.2481), located in Southern Division, Manitoba, Canada spans 477.7 hectares (approximately 1180 acres or 4.8 square kilometers).
Riding Mountain National Park is a national park in Manitoba, Canada. The park is located within Treaty 2 Territory and sits atop the Manitoba Escarpment. Consisting of a protected area of 2,969 km2 (1,146 sq mi), the forested parkland stands in sharp contrast to the surrounding prairie farmland. It was designated a national park because it protects three different ecosystems that converge in the area; grasslands, upland boreal and eastern deciduous forests. It is most easily reached by Highway 10 which passes through the park. The south entrance is at the townsite of Wasagaming, which is the only commercial centre within the park boundaries
Visited what I would consider to be the most beautiful conservation area I've ever been to in Southern Ontario. If you're willing to trek up the rather steep slopes to the top of the limestone escarpment, you are treated to this magnificent view of the Eramosa River and surrounding countryside. Reminds me very much of Georgian Bay.
Thank you, my kind Flickr friends, for visiting my site and taking the time to leave a comment. Truly appreciated!
A view looking back to the northeast while hiking along the trail in the Santa Elena Canyon. With the perceived large dynamic range of this setting, I decided to use five bracketed images and then bring it into Aurora HDR to make a conversion for an HDR tiff image. I later did some post-processing work in Viveza 2 and then CEP 4 for the final image.
For the image itself, I just wanted to capture that peaceful and serene look with the river and the mountainsides all around me as I looked off into the distance while in Big Bend National Park.

From a high overlook and view down upon the River Styx while walking the Green River Bluffs Trail and the many other network of trails to the west of the Visitor Center in Mammoth Cave National Park. While not planned, I love the way the nearby trees added a framing of sorts to the river flowing by. While I could have kept all the nearby in silhouette originally captured, I used some control points in Capture NX2 to bring out some of the shadows but not enough to distract from the view of the river and leaves down in that open area.
I enjoyed an amusement park of the third son and the evening on that day. As for his purpose, a dwarf, my purpose are these.

A slow work, as I'm folding well beyond my depth.
From a square -- if you slice a tetrahedron across the midpoints of its triangle faces, you get a square cross-section. Oddly, this only works if you're using a katana.
Condor Viewing Area
Vermilion Cliffs National Monument
Arizona
March 2025
The Vermilion Cliffs National Monument in northern Arizona serves as a critical site for the reintroduction of the endangered California condor. Since 1996, The Peregrine Fund, in collaboration with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and other partners, has been releasing captive-bred condors into the wild from this location.
The Condor Viewing Site is situated along House Rock Valley Road (BLM 1065), approximately 3 miles north of Highway 89A or about 27 miles south of Highway 89.
(221/365) This picturesque picnic area is sited alongside the River Feale where the counties Cork, Kerry & Limerick meet. The sign to the right with the harp & shamrock says "Fáilte" which means Welcome in Irish. I'll be posting a photo of the small sign on the post in due course, so many unnecessary apostrophes you won't get your breath. HBM!

South Canol Road Yukon Territory
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canol_Road
The Canol Road was part of a project to build the Canol pipeline and a road from Norman Wells, Northwest Territories, to Whitehorse, Yukon, during World War II. The pipeline no longer exists, but the 449 kilometres (279 mi) long Yukon portion of the road is maintained by the Yukon Government during summer months. The portion of the road that still exists in the NWT is called the Canol Heritage Trail. Both road and trail are incorporated into the Trans-Canada Trail.

The rock formations in this area have fascinated me. I've been intending to stop here on one of the trips.
Sunday when Mike and I stopped at the west bound area the weather was cloudy/rainy and we were on the wrong side of the interstate. This past Tuesday on my way back to ABQ I stopped at the east bound area which is closer to some of the formations.
I only stopped for a few minutes and used the infrared as it was already later morning. Think of it as a recon more than a photo shoot.
The rest area is between exits 318 and 322 along I-10. The town of Dragoon is nearby. There is also a Dragoon Mtn and a Dragoon Pass nearby.
I'm hoping someday to get back there to explore more and hopefully hit it at a better time of day.
The name of the rest area is Texas Canyon Rest Area. There is a plaque at the area which reports that in 1872 near Dragoon Springs, about 4 miles south at Council Rocks, a treaty was signed with Cochise, leader of the Chiricahua Apache. The Apaches had waged war from and eluded capture in the Dragoon Mountains.
