Somewhere along the Utah and Arizona border by Monument Valley. That day the blue sky and clouds were incredible as there were showers in the area. We would drive in and out of the showers only to see sunshine and these clouds.
This is part of the industrial area of the city, It shows the old 'Bay Horse' pub and the 'Maizecor' Silo which is one of the remaining Silos alongside The River Hull,
This area of the southern Yukon is not a true desert, not even a cold desert. The climate of the region is too moist. In prehistoric times lake water here receded, revealing a sandy bottom. Constant winds have continually caused the sand to shift, preventing the establishment of most plants, with the notable exception of lodgepole pine (Pinus contorta), here at the northern limit of its range. The Carcross Desert is affectionately known as the smallest desert in the world, measuring only 2.6 km². From a Kodachrome slide.

Geothermal energy, the most important source of energy.
Geothermal area is defined by the temperature of the groundwater at a depth of around 1,000m: if it is higher than 150°C (the boiling point is shifted due to the pressure).
This energy provides electricity + hot water + streets can be heated in Reykjavik in winter

This area is roped off for breeding birds. Most of the time people are pretty good about respecting the areas. Other times....Not so much.
What an incredible few days it has been in the Bay Area with all the low elevation snow. Here is a panorama from the Henry Coe area as the sun's last light illuminates the the snow covered trees and mountain tops. Great shooting all day with John Fox!
Thanks for looking!
Wolfville, Nova Scotia is vineyard territory. With some of the finest wines in the world, this area is blessed with the finest soil anywhere. On this occasion we purposefully arrived late in the day. The low angle of light from the sun means colors are vivid and with the aid of a polarizing filter, they are also saturated.
Vineyards are a good deal of fun to photograph because they offer patterns and often are void of people, In this shot, a couple are out enjoying their time together, alone amongst the grape. (Yes, I allowed them to blur)
Some of the things that I have seen in the Toledo, OH. area over the years
These were from May 06, 2007
Hey there!
Some of you might have seen this build already at Legoworld Utrecht last month, but now I finally found the time and energy to take the photo's.
This one was quite an interesting build as the composition is quite different compared to the usual 'buildings' stuff I make. This time the center is 'empty' but still the main focus of the build where it all started.
It was quite tricky to really capture the colours in the digital edit, but I am quite pleased how this one turned out :)
Oh, and no, this doesn't resemble a specific DnD area, but I have played some Baldur's Gate 3, so there sure is a lot of inspiration from that world.
Anyway, that's is for this one; I will be back for some Brickscalibur stuff soon!
