The Plaza San Sebastian in the beautiful Spanish city of Cartagena.
One of the most emblematic monuments of the city of Cartagena is the Monument to the processionist dedicated to Holy Week and to Cartagena processionists.
It is a sculptural group, made in bronze, work by the local sculptor Manuel Ardil Pagán. It represents three Nazarenes, popular characters of Holy Week in Cartagena, in full size.

I don't know exactly what this stucture was for. It's situated next to the railways, on the other side of the tracks from the old (decomissioned) station, so probably something to do with cargo.

At the end of April we went to Vilnus for the Open House Festival.
The Open House concept was founded in London in 1992 with the aim of promoting a better understanding of architecture outside the profession. The core of this idea was the direct experience of the buildings themselves, which are accessible to all free of charge and provide an opportunity to learn, discuss and debate with experts and citizens.
The Green Hall is a business centre with attractive architecture. I was particularly impressed by the white stairs in the entrance foyer of the building.

Have fun and I hope you like the video and pictures.
Sometimes, I look through old photos and what I didn’t realize was there was actually present all along…that growing unease that something wasn’t quite right…this was 2019 but there were times you could sense it in the sigh of a parent and the look of anxiety in one’s eyes. And, you know you hold your loved ones close and you know you’d do anything to make sure they survived even a pandemic.
And I look at this photo and I hope they are still alive. The child may be 6 or 7 by now. We’ve learned quite a bit about the world and ourselves if we’re still breathing. And, in every lift there is an “I love you” and in every gesture there is, “I promise I’ll protect you.” But, in every exhalation, there’s a feeling that the world is bigger than all of us and we’ll never be the same again.
We are all funny little beasts when you really think about it and we all share a space in a vast and impossible world.

Located in the Normandy countryside, near from the Mont Saint-Michel, the Abbey of Notre Dame of Hambye was founded around 1145 by William Painel, Lord of Hambye, and Algare, bishop of Coutances (the Diocese of place). The monastery was established by a group of Benedictine monks from Tiron (Perche region in south-east of Basse-Normandie). Fueled by an ideal of rigor and austerity close to that of Cistercians, Benedictine monks built a sober and elegant abbey, typical of early Gothic period. The construction took place in the late 12th and early 13th centuries. The religious community reached its apogee in the 13th century and then, after a long decline over the following centuries, disappeared in the 1780s.
Like all French abbeys, it became national property at the beginning of the Revolution. Eventually, the abbey was sold in 1790. The owners transformed or destroyed buildings and scattered the furnishings. Having belonged to the abbey for three centuries (16th-18th centuries), the altarpiece was also sold. The convent buildings became farm buildings. The abbey church was used as a quarry from 1810, and was gradually dismantled.

"I love Amsterdam. The city is vibrant and alive. It’s fresh and so open. It’s definitely one of my favorite places."
