I remember on Sundays; my mother would take me over to shop on 13th Ave (Boro Park) cause of the "Blue Laws" and we'd pass these groups of older Italian men playing Bocce Ball in the dirt under the cool shade of the L .
And once in a great while I'd see the train that ran on street level. My mother said it delivered the bananas from the boat.
I never found out if she was pulling my leg or what..
I miss dem ghosts.

Rising above the treetops, this modern concrete tower in Porto showcases the city’s evolving architectural identity. Its bold geometric form and long horizontal bands of glass contrast sharply with the natural greenery in the foreground and the older, low-rise building at its base. The façade, marked by raw concrete textures and sleek glass windows, embodies the Brutalist and functionalist influences that shaped late 20th-century Portuguese design. Against a clear blue sky, the tower feels both imposing and precise, representing Porto’s balance between tradition and innovation, heritage and progress. A striking symbol of urban growth, it defines the city’s changing skyline.
utilising a subtle mix of traditional and contemporary materials and forms, the material palette aims to blend the old and new, to create an light, spacious enjoyable family room.
