New Firmware update for the Canon 6D adds Angry Birds!
I can't take credit for the idea, something I saw online last year. Thought I'd give it a go myself. I couldn't get the moire off the screen, I probably should have photoshopped it on. Lit from a single umbrella camera right.
I am importing Pennsylvania farm country to Maryland, bit by bit. This is the bottom of my vegetable rinsing tub after washing spinach and celery and before tumping it into the back yard. Teaspoon by teaspoon I am enriching my red clay with beautiful black farm soil.
Taken for Macro Mondays "April Fools".
NOOOOOOOOO!!! I was trying to take some pictures of my latest build and on the way it slipped out of my hands! HOW COULD I BE SO CLUMSY!
I woke up this morning to the sound of sleet on my window.... This one is from a spring ice storm a few years ago. After a gorgeous sunny and almost 70 day for Easter yesterday, it seems Mother Nature knows how to do April fools day jokes, too.

My two owl sculptures on a winter's day of snow, casting their solar eyes at you!! Lol! No snow in the forecast, so hope April will prove to be all about Spring for all my Flickr Friends. Those coloured sticks are in pots of old flowers and are also solar and change colours. The flowers have not yet started to bloom again; it will take a bit of time and some I may have to replace.

Planetary Alignment Decreases Gravity
Date: April Fool's Day, 1976
Categories: Science, Space and Astronomy, Radio, Scientists, United Kingdom, 1976, BBC
Patrick Moore
During an interview on BBC Radio 2, on the morning of April 1, 1976, the British astronomer Patrick Moore announced that an extraordinary astronomical event was about to occur. At exactly 9:47 am, the planet Pluto would pass directly behind Jupiter, in relation to the Earth. This rare alignment would mean that the combined gravitational force of the two planets would exert a stronger tidal pull, temporarily counteracting the Earth's own gravity and making people weigh less. Moore called this the Jovian-Plutonian Gravitational Effect.
Moore told listeners that they could experience the phenomenon by jumping in the air at the precise moment the alignment occurred. If they did so, he promised, they would experience a strange floating sensation.
At 9:47, Moore declared, "Jump now!" A minute passed, and then the BBC switchboard lit up with dozens of people calling in to report that the experiment had worked!
A Dutch woman from Utrecht said that she and her husband had floated around the room together. Another caller claimed she had been seated around a table with eleven friends and that all of them, including the table, had begun to ascend.
But not everyone was happy. One angry caller complained he had risen from the ground so rapidly that he hit his head on the ceiling, and he wanted compensation.
Moore's announcement was, of course, an April Fool's Day joke. It became one of the most celebrated April Fool's Day hoaxes of the late 20th century. However, it wasn't just a random joke. Moore intended it as a spoof of a pseudoscientific astronomical theory that had recently been promoted in a book by John Gribbin and Stephen Plagemann called The Jupiter Effect.
Late afternoon in the garden. It is a warm day and I am enjoying a float made with frozen raspberries and blackberries in pure seltzer water.

It's my birthday. The last one in my 50s. I wish this pandemic was an April Fools joke, but it's not. Even though we can't celebrate in the usual ways, my husband still made me a cake! And with lots of calls, texts and face times, it's still been a great day!
As an April Fool, Scout says that all of my photos have been in Explore! This is the first 72 of them made into a poster. Have a

I logged into Facebook today (April 1) and I found something strange in my News Feed (see note). At first, I was weirded out, until I realized it was April 1st and this is Facebook's way of saying April Fools. Probably one of the cooler April Fools jokes as it plays on the criticism that News Feed can be creepy/stalkerish. At least the Facebook programmers have a (creepy) sense of humor.
Wait, there's more.
I was about to take a picture of this Smurf figure when it was confronted by a MASSIVE moth!
A Macro Mondays submission on the topic "April Fools".
Bees Learn to Drive Very Small Cars.
Scientists capitalized on recent revelations that bees are a lot smarter than previously thought. In addition to being able to count and solve simple puzzles USGS scientists at the Patuxent Native Bee Lab have taught bees to driver miniaturized automobiles. Using rewards such as flower smoothies and honey laced with addictive pollens, bees were gradually induced to drive in order to continue receiving their rewards. The study came to an unfortunate ending when one of the lab assistants was overwhelmed by angry bees who felt that the researchers were holding back on their pollen loads. Future plans are in the work to use less coercive methods and talks are in progress with several bee advocacy groups. For release on April 1, 2019. Photography by Brooke Goggins.

Last night I had a dream. I dreamed that the legendary sasquatch holds the cure for misplaced celebrity in his genetic structure. After a day of pondering this and much soul searching, I realize that this is probably true. Nobody has ever seen a Bigfoot with Paris Hilton or Donald Trump. No sasquatch has ever appeared on American Idol or had a cameo role on any modern sticom. Suddenly everything made sense.
I have taken it upon myself to capture a sasquatch and analyze his DNA for the eradication of misplaced celebrity. Imagine a world in which children know the name of Midgley, Bardeen, and Landsteiner. If we can only harness the sasquatch DNA, when the words Paris and Trump are spoken, we will imagine a card game in France. I am willing to make this sacrifice for humanity.
I've heard that Flickr, in order to help us all "get with the times", is going to start filtering out traditional film photos. So from now on I'll be posting photos from my digital Jam Cam. 640x480 FTW!!!!!
April April - april fools
For the task 'April Fools' I staged a nude shooting.
Since nude is not part of my portfolio so far, I oriented myself on product photography and staged two light bulbs (LED).
that's how it is... not a sexy butt.

2015 APRIL FOOL'S DAY in SAN FRANCISCO is celebrated with the annual ST. STUPID's DAY PARADE which starts out at JUSTIN HERMANN PLAZA and snakes its way through the Financial District. Absolute F-U-N !
The parade goes to the SOCK EXCHANGE (Pacific Stock Exchange) where socks were exchanged and thrown in the air!
The ST STUPID'S DAY PARADE then went to 101 CALIFORNIA...where it was lunch hour and the marchers shouted to the businesspersons...GO BACK TO WORK!
...and of course, the PARADE would not be complete without a visit to the cold black BANKER'S HEART in front of BANK OF AMERICA where folks tossed pennies at the black marble 'sculpture'.
OH the faces of the tourists and the businesspersons who didn't have the slightest idea of WHAT THE HELL was going on. Though many, to their credit, got into the fun & smiled, and whipped out their cameras for the copious photo ops.

Do you know "Tarako Kewpie"??
It's very popular in Japan now.
Today I was working as "Tarako Kewpie" and standing at a corner of a shopping mall.
Many children came and tapped me, hugged me but I couldn't use my arms, they're hidden in the body of Tarako Kewpie Doll..... and I hardly saw outside... it's something awful.
It's really hard day today.......
No, No!!
I met Tarako Kewpie when I was shopping at a shopping mall. IT'S NOT ME!!!
......because today is April 1st, APRIL FOOL!! hehe. ;D
Many years ago, my brother found this in a pile of photos at a flea market. He sent it to me because he knew I'd get a laugh out of it. Hope you do too. Happy April Fool's Day!
Okay, bit of an announcement: I've decided to sell all my BJDs and start collecting these cone critters instead. They're truly unique as no cone is identical, they're customizeable and ecological. Not to mention much more affordable than dolls. I blame @umizya for talking me into this.
I managed to start my collection off with this super rare tailed-cone-mouse, and I even gave him a pair of eyes to increase his value. Unfortunately, he's a bit of a bully and likes to kick the smaller cones, but the tail model is just so cool that I couldn't have imagined starting my collection with any other piece!
I hope you will enjoy him as much as I do! (And look forward to me putting up my dolls for sale in the next few days!)
