Apache Junction is east of Phoenix Arizona but driving thru it would feel like it’s part of Phoenix.
This is the sign coming in from the road commonly called Apache Trail, or HWY 88. That was a scary ride in some places.

Apache 83 leaves Holbrook bound for Snow Flake. A couple Cokes for the crew gave us quite a show as they left town.
A pilot of 673 Squadron is pictured in front of his Apache attack helicopter at Middle Wallop, Hampshire.
The Apache helicopter is fitted with the Longbow radar system.

Apache Holbrook turn east of the paper mill with 5 cars for interchange with the BNSF. The train will pick up 15 more on the Snowflake spur, part of the abandoned McNary line, before reaching Holbrook.
Alternate title suggested from several folks: "A view our enemies don't see for very long."
The Big Red One (First Division) came to Cantigny Park, Wheaton, Illinois with helicopters and armor for Armed Forces Day. I was able to take some photographs on their last day (Monday, 5/18/09) and also witness the departure.

I saw (and heard) this Apache helicopter arrive at Shoreham Airport just before lunch, so I popped over to take a look.
