A Northern Crested Caracara takes flight from a cell tower in San Antonio, Texas. Shortly after, two more followed it traveling due east toward the sun. I didn’t see them again for several days until recently they reappeared one or two at a time. There is a large nest in the tower. I don’t know if it’s theirs.

“THIS weeping willow!
Why do you not plant a few
For the millions of children not yet born,
As well as for us?
Are they not non-existent, or cells asleep
Without mind?
Or do they come to earth, their birth
Rupturing the memory of previous being?
Answer!
The field of unexplored intuition is yours.
But in any case why not plant willows for them,
As well as for us?”

I've just realised that I didn't post the answer to "What Caused This?" before my PC crashed. Well done to all who guessed water birds and especially well done to those who said Coot .
Mattel didn't answer me yet, I hope I won't have to send them this doll, no way I'm going to send out this girl with perfect face paint.
Taken today, I needed this boost of colour to offset the dull, dreary day. So glad that we had two football games to watch on TV.... Yeah FIFA! Thanks for visiting:)
This was taken on what was the most perfect winter day I've ever seen. The sun was shining bright and the air had a certain freshness to it that I really enjoyed all day. It was so lovely, it was like an answered prayer. At the end of the day, I spotted some urban nature and was intrigued by that and the light on the buildings by it. So I got my camera out for one last picture that day. Almost three years later, I wonder if it's still there.

Don't Ask to use any of my Horse Photos for virtual stables or similar websites. The answer will be NO.
While this is titled Portrait of an Arabian Beauty (Part II) in actuality this photo was taken one frame before the photo titled Portrait of an Arabian Horse which I uploaded nearly 20 days ago.
I loved this pose and I must have overlooked it somehow before. you can probably tell I'm going through my Arabian Horse photos recently picking out the best ones (I took over 1500 photos during the contest) I still have a few more worth uploading. Don't worry my friends..... cars and HDR will be back soon...along with Grendizer. =)

This is a series that our youth ministry, The Current, is doing through the month of September. Just a quick fun idea, which I also made a little bumper for that you can view on this video:
Nothing too fancy, just some photo editing and some fun typography. And you gotta have some circles to communicate sound waves, I mean, you got to.
- HOW DO YOU MEAN WE WERE LATE???-
"Bal tricked us. He got his forces through the gate last night. Thankfully, they didn't spot us" Dour answered,as one of the guards went up to him "S-sir. It's from the Fort. The raven arrived moments ago" he handes Dour a paper "Fuck. We need to move now!"
- What happened?-
"Bal is attacking The Fort. Says the outnubered us 3:1"
- Ok. You two- I pointed at the two guards -Ride to Solitude. Let the High King know whats happening. Dour, you're with me-
"We'll never make it to the Fort on time"
- Who said anything about walking? OD AH VIING!-
"I didn't even say wa- oh no no no no" Dour waved his hands around
Couple of minutes later,a large shadow flew over us. Odahviing landed in front of me " Drem yol lok Dovahkiin. What is your need?" The dragon asked
- Get me and Dour here to Fort Dawnguard-
"Very Well... Dii Viing los heinah"
Some time later,we soared through the clouds, while the battle took place under us
- Land in the courtyard-
"As you wish,dovah"
Odahviing slammed into the ground, scaring the crap out of nearby vampire hunters
- Ok. Dour, you and me will take the side gate, while Odahviing helps out at the northen entrance-
" Ol hei hind Dovahkiin"With a couple flaps,Odahviing took off
"How many men do we have at the side gate?" Dour sharply questioned his second in command "15...sir"
- Shite.Come on Dour,let's go!-
We rushed to the gate, just to find the soldiers were...recruits
- What? This is who we have to hold the gate?-
"I sent the most of our veterans at the main gate" Dour spoke up,before one dawnguard sergant walked up to him "Sir,come this way please" he took us to the armory. I looked over some weapons, and picked out a Longsword and a Shortsword, when I heard Dour cheering
- What ya cheerin' about mate?-
"This. Dawnkeeper." he showed me a large two handed hammer "It was forged in the fires of the Skyforge" Dour patted me on the shoulder "Let's move"
We ran out to the gate,as I saw the men scattered
- There afraid-
"Of course they are, they're only recruits!" Dour fought back, leaning on his hammer
I walked up the stairs
- Men!- The soldiers just looked up
- Before you came here..you were nothing! Nothing! But now...you are men of the Dawnguard! Creatures beyond this wall wish nothing but to slaughter you all! And you were just going to let them do it?-
"No!" the men roared,standing up
-Good! I can't tell you who will and won't come back. But I can tell you that..if you fall, you won't fall as boys, you'll fall as men of the Dawnguard. Now let's go kill some vampires!!!-
"YEAH!" The group formed up
The doors slowly opened -Sovngarde awaits!- I drew my sword, charging into battle, the men not far behind me. Vampires falling to my blade left and right.Slash, one down, swing, another. And then suddenly,a large mace smashed it's way into my armor.I fell backwards, before I saw a large man in daedric armor..no not a man at all....a horned deamon...a daedra..Molag bal was standing in front of me.
- FUS RO DAH!- Couple of surrounding vampires were sent flying by my Unrelenting Force...but not Bal. He just stood there "And finally...we meet" I charget up at him,but he blocked my blows. Another swing. Nothing. We were exchanging blows... before I felt sharp, burning pain in my right knee.I fell on the ground. I..just took an arrow in the knee. Molag stepped on my chest "And now...you will see your world BURN!" His voice was cold, sharp and intimidating. I saw his mace raised..and then everything went black. Sovngarde...awaits.

As we were watching a large bull and his harem grazing on the ridge, we could hear another bull bugling an approach from the valley floor. When the newcomer reached the edge of the brush and stepped into the field the lead bull suddenly broke rank and moved to intercept him. There was a great deal of posturing and flared nostrils but it never came to blows. The interloper finally opted for a circuitous path around the herd.

si trattava di un attesa o di un assenza senza ritorno ?

sapeva di vuoto....le piacque....
e cosi' zompetto' leggera oltre il muro....a odorare il mare.

It's a sign on a train platform. It is to alert people not to get closer to approaching or passing train to avoid possible injury or accident, especially designed to notice visually impaired people when using white cane. In Japan we find this kind of sign not only on train platform but also here and there in town to help their wayfinding.
Anthophora terminalis. Orange butt. Three teeth. Internal wing cells almost entirely free of hairs (why are there hairs, sometimes hundreds of hairs, on many bees wings? Good question and perhaps answering that question would gain you the Nobel Peace Prize, but more likely it would simply generate mild curiosity among a very small academic crowd, unless your organization had a publicist who would likely hype it in a way that would get a lot of google hits so that the publicist would get a bigger bonus at the end of the year and reporters could interview you and write articles like "Do hairy wings make bees buzz?" or some other demoralizing, pun infested article that shows how very little respect you command compared to an astronomer (who, btw, discovering something so very far away that even the astrologists believe it never did and never will have any influence over our lives)). We Are Made One with What We Touch and See
We are resolved into the supreme air,
We are made one with what we touch and see,
With our heart's blood each crimson sun is fair,
With our young lives each spring impassioned tree
Flames into green, the wildest beasts that range
The moor our kinsmen are, all life is one, and all is change.

The solution to yesterday's photo for the day.
It's the router - modem (or whatever they're called in English) for the telephone and Internet.
It sits on top of the Livebox Play which is the decoder for the TV.

Having read DaveSPN's comment just before we had dinner I thought I'd explain why France seems to be slow in its computer technology.
Long before the Internet France and other countries too had Minitel en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minitel
As people could get almost as much information they wanted via that, they were possibly slower to change to the Internet and WWW than some other countries.
When we got our modem we were also given a device for fibre-optics too. But, as yet Orange ("France Telecom"), have not told us when this service will be available, although one of the other providers is already advertising their system on TV.

I have received a lot of questions about the show, so I will try to answer them all now in hope that it will help other unsure about something and did not message / ask me about it.
- The show is OPEN CALL, anyone can send in stickers
-Everyone's artwork will be displayed
-The address to send you packs in is:
TATTOOED MOM
P.O. BOX 63833
PHILADELPHIA, PA, 19147
USA
- the cut off date for submissions is SEPTEMBER 13th,
-If you live in the area you can drop off your sticker packs at the door of Tattooed Mom on South st.
-The show is called CHARACTER WELCOME because because of the high volume of character based graffiti sticker art here in Philadelphia
BUT!!! - any sticker artwork is acceptable. It DOES NOT have to be a character!!!
-Hand drawn, stencils, prints, screen prints- they are all acceptable
-The plan now is to cover the walls of the bar, and also combo wooden panels that after the show will be put up throughout the city.
-2 professional photographers will be at the show, so it will be well documented and you will be able to find photos with your work in them. We are putting a lot of emphasis on the documentation as to not disappoint anyone. Nobody wants to send stickers to a show and not see pictures of their artwork in the combos and stuff.
