A short (31 secs) stop frame animation exploring the protests by disillusioned young during the Arabs spring. I uploaded the animation onto social network sites to demonstrate how the internet has influenced and empowered protesters by enabling them to create a world –wide debate. The internet allows us to be connected, and this makes the world feel smaller. Constructed from cardboard and embroidery.

An animation of a song called Baby Shoes by the Bad Books. I wanted to incorporate tweening and frame by frame animation as well as having lip syncing, animated text, real photos and images to give a somewhat disturbing feel.
The animation for the MW3 video is done. Altogether its about five minutes and 49 seconds of unedited footage. The effects will take some time to add. So no definite release date yet.
Produced by Puppetoon (London) Director/model animator Barry Leith.
I did the drawn animation. Had to do front side (and sometimes back) of each move, then coloured and stuck on blocks for stop frame animating.
This is what we had to do all those years ago, It would have been much easier now with computers!

For the background of my animation I have stayed with my storyboards and creating my original idea. I have used very simple textures and only created the aspects which will be seen in the final animation. I created a extremely low poly environment for the animation so it would help with the rendering process. I did not spend a lot of time for this and managed to finish the scene ahead of the planned completion, which gave me extra time to put towards my animation.
I needed to create the background of the animation because of the Props that will be used. The main part of the scene will be the full size post box. I have created this with a basic design looking at reference images for help.

this is the work of my students. I taught a part-time animation course, for beginners. It included first time animators and beginners, as well as seasoned pros. This is a sample from one of the classes. This group of students had no previous animation experience, and some had limited drawing ability, but this is what they achieved in 12 3 hour classes. It always amazed me to watch people learn.
