Revisiting some old shots! (To upload something other than bugs...!). Taken from the passenger seat on the motorway going towards Mont Cenis.

Mount Pilatus is a mountain overlooking Lucerne in Central Switzerland. It is composed of several summits of which the highest (2,128 m) is named Tomlishorn. Another summit named Esel (2,119 m) lies just over the railway station. Jurisdiction over the massif is divided between the cantons of Obwalden, Nidwalden, and Lucerne. The main peaks are right on the border between Obwalden and Nidwalden.

Valley in the Swiss Alps.

Remember the good old days when the pilot or navigator would chime in from time to time to tell you where you were and what you were seeing out the windows? On our trans-Atlantic flight from Pittsburgh to Venice, the 767 did not have seatback maps, nor did we ever hear from the front deck. Perhaps they had the plane on auto pilot while they napped...

When we were about an hour away from Venice we had a spectacular view of The Alps, though I'm only guessing at the map placement.
