Having explored the Swiss Alps recently I could not resist taking hundreds of photos. The journey was done with the Bernina express train which is included in the UNESCO heritage listing.
The shooting was not easy as the train was moving all the way and the time given to compose the image was minimum.
Still the results were rewarding.
Can a landscape be more breathtaking...?

Nestled against the Southern Alps, Otira is largely a ghost town. It largely existed to support workman building the Otira rail tunnel through the mountain. There is a quirky fun hotel nearby, a couple of occupied house and a few abandoned houses. As its situated on western side of the Alps it has a very high annual rainfall!
few days ago i went to this pass where i was surprised by a strong and cold wind; luckily i was able to take cover behind the wall of San Nicolao chapel whose roof appears here in the photo; here i enjoy my lunch looking at Pizzo San Giacomo (in the centre) in front of me, a steep mountain near the border between Italy and Swiss
