i don't know if these were ever straight. i like standing here, looking down the row and seeing them out of alignment. everything seems out of balance.
On an old alignment of the National Road, bypassed to make space for an exit from Interstate 70, just east of New Market, Maryland, in Frederick County.
I'm not sure whether this is a true spring house, as the spring appears to have been located slightly south of the building, and channelled into it to cool the things inside.
