Dolgoch is still near the end of the line.
Yes it is Nant Gwernol station, and Dolgoch is the locomotives' name (but Dolgoch the locomotive is here which is the end of the line). But after days of "um ackshually" comments from the self-appointed semantics police that my Facebook photo was not sufficiently captioned to differentiate what station this is, I am eternally grateful that Flickr has geotagging functions (along with the third party tools such as Railfan Atlas) to prove I am not some fool mislabeling my Nant Gwernol photos showing Dolgoch (locomotive) as being photos taken at Dolgoch (station). I am trying to take it with a smile on my face, but the Facebook algorithm has a habit of boosting photos with comments on them; so I assume that I have several more weeks of random notifications reminding me "Dolgoch is not Nant Gwernol" in my near future.
I love the hobby, but somedays especially on social media interactions; I hate foamers.

Image created using particles obeying certain "gravitational" laws. Mostly variations on "accelerate toward/away from some particle unless some condition is met, in which case move toward/away from some other particle".
Made with processing (processing.org).
Thinking involves assessment, prediction and decisions based on nature and nurture. I like the assessment part, and also dont mind the predictions. Going through 'the deciding' part is not that easy for me.
Like right now i spend a long time deciding the colour of the background for this image. Black? or white?
Prior to that i spend long time deciding weather i should invest time experimenting photoshop, or plan the next photoshoot.
Before that i spend loads of time while deciding weather i should buy a new lens or a flash, before that.... blah blah blah.
Everytime while making decisions i get lost, and find myself assessing and predicting things (like a moment ago i assessed that 'assesses' is the only word I know with 5 s's...
well now i am thinking that i do possess another word like that: 'possesses')
I predict that this inability to decide is not going to go anywhere any time soon. As long as i can assess, i dont think i will worry that much. That is what i have decided.

Shot for Macro Mondays "Frustrations"
What I find frustrating is the continued dumping of electronic goods into our landfills. Electronic devices are filled full of lead, mercury, cadmium and other heavy metals. Fortunately in Alberta we have a province run recycling program for monitors computers and printers. Yet there are thousands of other devices with chips in them as well. These don't get recycled.
Even more frustrating are the "Recycling companies" that end up shipping the majority of the e-waste to developing nations where they cause even more damage than they would in our landifills. Very sad stuff if you've ever seen the documentaries.
Such a wasteful society we have. Don't feel too bad though, I'm just as guilty of producing my share of pollution. The cost of modern living I suppose.

Abstract Dog
Algorithmic Dreams
MP: marketplace.secondlife.com/en-US/stores/235475
LM: maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Keyano/212/42/85
The image titled "The Abstract Dog" features a striking portrayal of a chocolate Labrador in a modern, artistic style. The dog's rich brown coat is rendered with meticulous detail, capturing the glossy sheen of its fur and the soulful expression in its amber eyes. Its gaze is lifted slightly upward, conveying a sense of loyalty and curiosity.
The background is composed of bold, abstract brushstrokes in a neutral palette of whites, creams, grays, and earthy orange tones. The contrast between the dog's realistic depiction and the abstract background creates a visually engaging effect, making the dog stand out as the centerpiece of the composition.
The painting is displayed above a sleek black couch adorned with patterned cushions in gold and black tones, enhancing the overall warmth and sophistication of the setting. "The Abstract Dog" beautifully combines realism and abstraction, celebrating the grace and dignity of man's best friend.
Abstract image generated by an algorithm implemented in Processing.
Particle moves through scene, perturbed by noise.
Three particles "chase" lead particle (and each other), keeping a roughly triangular configuration.
Triangle sides form paintbrushes that sweep across the scene.
Paint becomes more transparent with a hint of colour, as triangle narrows,
and switches from black to white when triangle "flips over".

400 Million years old, found in Morocco.
These lowly relatives of the squid and octopi lasted over 300 million years. This particular example dates to the Emsian Age, when Ammonites were all the rage as sea-life goes. The coiled yet non-contiguous habit is quite uncommon among Ammonites, possibly due to a relative lack of robustness leading to an early inclusion in someone else's diet.

Algorithm is a 30-minute solo contemporary dance piece meditating on sexual discrimination in computer vision science; particularly, the algorithms behind removing images of breasts and vulvas online. Currently, an overwhelming number of algorithms exist solely to detect these body parts – often deemed as “pornographic” – yet very few focus on censoring the phallus. The choreography uses symbols and characters from various algorithms as a point of departure, one of which is the han character (凹) as it closely resembles the shape of a vulva (or “concave, hollow, depression” ¹). Throughout the movements, the body, in its raw and fleshy form, interrogates these shapes from beyond the reach of algorithmic censorship. Algorithm simultaneously celebrates censored body parts while highlighting the gender inequality that is extant in technology.
