Green Iguanas, the largest lizards in Costa Rica, are normally green but males can turn orange in breeding season to impress the ladies. They prefer to perch on trees above water. If danger approaches they make their escape by diving into the water below. They normally are arboreal with the female climbing to the ground only to lay eggs.

Two strays in Manila, Philippines, keep an alert eye out for approaching dogs and other hazards. The clipped ear tips mean these two have been lucky enough to have been picked up for neutering and inoculation, a service run by volunteers only in this particular part of the city..
An even bigger Water Monitor was close by with his head in the air. It was thrilling to see these up close. I saw one in Bogo once and even the Filipino driving the trike was surprised.
Bela, again.
This was taken with the Yashica C using some old East German Orwo NP22 film that expired in the early 80s. I assume the stippling present is due to the emulsion cracking or something. Developed using Adox ATM 49 developer.
The cheetahs were quite alert. You would be too, if you just saw a bunch of rhinos race by. They must have been wondering what was going on.

They are up in the fields looking for that last bit of winter grain. Very slim but not starving would be my guess. I nearly collided with one such deer on this shoot but at the last moment the deer and I hit the brakes - it was close.
My long range lens on this shot - I am not happy with this lens because the clarity isn't there on my shots or maybe I don't know how to use the lens.
