This gorgeous bird is as surprised as I am.

Taken a couple of weekends ago on the deck at the cottage. My first wild-life picture. At full zoom I went as close as possible, crawling on my belly - and was rewarded. I was and still am totally amazed and awed at this beautiful Life form.

I wanted to time the shutter release as it leapt - but the long wait did not help?:-(
