Taken a couple of weekends ago on the deck at the cottage. My first wild-life picture. At full zoom I went as close as possible, crawling on my belly - and was rewarded. I was and still am totally amazed and awed at this beautiful Life form.

Alerted by our local internet that today's BNSF Provo-Denver manifest would have an interesting locomotive consist, I grabbed a couple cameras and headed out the door for the mountains. I didn't reach my planned spot, but I arrived at the ESS at Rocky in time to see the train. Leading the eastbound train are the 8409, KCSdeM 4724, and 9252. BNSF 5651 and CP8654 were the rear DPUs. What Was That!?! Looks like a mad man in a ghillie suit approaching!

You just have to love those white legs the Comma butterfly has! This one was posed very nicely with its wings closed and one leg angled forwards... a butterfly poser for sure!

This is my 2nd year anniversary month on flicker. I've certainly enjoyed these two years. I started out with my little advanced point and shoot, and soon got to the place where I wanted a dslr. I now hope for more reach someday. I can't ever be satisfied. LOL.
