I took delivery of the machine in December, 2011 and it was in sad shape - which kinda worked for me 'cause it was beyond pulling into a faithful restoration.
So, a complete re-work as a track bike / racer with PM Chicane wheels, new Stadium shock, 790cc rebuilt engine with Montjuich cams, serious head work, revised cooling system, revised battery box and electrics and Airtech bodywork. Fired the new motor on March 8, 2012.

The P-40 was the major fighter for the Army Air Corp at the beginning of WWII. 13k were built before production ended in 1944. It served in China, Australia, North Africa and the air forces of 28 allied nations including Great Britain and France. Though outclassed by most German and Japanese fighters, its ruggedness and firepower allowed the Air Force to hold the line during Pearl Harbor and the attack on the Philippines in December 1941.
