Here's a break from the pole shots, BNSF 1439 and 1990 lead the H-GFDNTW through Big lake after pausing on the west side of town for 10 minutes to let Northstar depart Big Lake. This train went by Perham at 01:30 so it sounded too early to make it anywhere in light before they got into Northtown. Fortunately some delay at CP 85.5 made it possible to get it running in the morning. I chased this train from Sauk Rapids to CP Interstate, this was my favorite shot of the chase. For disclosure the lead locomotive has been tampered with, the black spot where a former a high headlight was has been turned white, and some window glare on the conductor was attempted to fix.

Testing out the new Aaron 4.0 head by Lelutka by looking all exhausted and stuff. This head has a nose shape that removes the need of nose deformers so check it out if you don't like standard faces. I made my own shape and added DerDieb's face tattoos to give me that complete 'week two, and the robots are fighting back' vibe.

Set against the beautiful background of the Brecon Beacons, a visit to Tretower Court and Castle is a unique journey through history that dates back to Norman times. The great 13th century stone keep surmounts a small mound, the remains of Tretower's original earthwork castle built around 1100 to control a strategic route through the Black Mountains.
For over 900 years Tretower Court and Castle has been altered, adjusted and adapted. Much of this was done to keep up with style, fashion and the tastes of the time.
By the early fifteenth-century however the castle had been partially abandoned in favour of a new building. In the 1450s, Roger Vaughan began the transformation of this into the glorious house we now see before us, a fine example of a substantial late medieval country residence.
The Great Hall is decorated in the Medieval Period style

CP 299 bucks a north wind heading towards Noyes after clearing Thief River Falls. The train is just now into Marshall County from Pennington at one of my favorite grade crossings for afternoon westbound trains.
The clouds were pretty neat after sunset there and streaming fast. Quite the movement there for a two minute exposure. Liked the late blue hour sky against the hotel and boardwalk lighting there in Ocean City.
