Wassaic, NY
The Wassaic Project, a rare survivor among the stately wood-crib elevators that once towered over rural America, this 105-foot-tall structure has been reincarnated as one of the strangest new homes for contemporary art in the Northeast, a place that feels like a Lower East Side gallery transplanted into a treehouse, redolent of damp pine and the animal feed that once filled the spaces.

66566 and 59203 "Vale of Pickering" leave a trail of dust in their wake as they team up to work 7A16 1705 Merehead Quarry to Hanwell Bridge. Seen passing a very backlit Fairwood Junction.
In life, when backed against a wall just keep growing. Sure the wall will still be there but you it won't keep you from reaching your full potential. :)
I will trust in You and know that You are with me forever
I'll confide in You 'cause You're the only answer that matters
Even in the darkness, You will be my light
Even when I'm hopeless, You will be my guide
I will not be shaken, I will not be moved
Even in the chaos, I know that You're good
You're the keeper, protector
It is You that holds us together
When everything else fails us
It is You that holds us together
Oh-whoa-whoa, oh-whoa-oh
I will trust in You, Your thoughts and plans of me, they are good
Mmh, I'll wait on You, I know that You will see me through
Even in the darkness, You will be my light
Even when I'm hopeless, You will be my guide
I will not be shaken, I will not be moved
Even in the chaos, I know that You're good
You're the keeper, protector
It is You that holds us together
When everything else fails us
It is You that holds us together (oh You're)
You're the keeper (You are), protector
It is You that holds us together (when every)
When everything (else fails) else fails us (it is You)
It is You that holds us together
Together
Holds us together
You're the keeper, protector (together)
It is You that holds us together
Everything (else fails us) else fails us
It's You that holds us together (hold us)
You're the keeper (hold us), protector (oh, protector)
It's You that holds us together (oh, You)
When everything (everything) else fails us
It's You that holds us together
You're the keeper, protector
It is You that holds us together
When everything else fails us
It is You that holds us together.
Song by:H.E.R. - Hold Us Together'
We live in a formative time, with fewer and fewer survivors who can tell us what happened, which calls for intensified efforts to commemorate the Holocaust. Deniers should never be allowed to falsify the history of the worst crime against humanity.
Stop the Hate!
I watched from a concrete footbridge across this creek as this beaver swam toward me. It proceeded to climb the bridge, check out my boots, and then crawl back into the creek and proceed upstream as I stood frozen. It was an amazing experience with a wild creature, and unfortunately I didn't have the presence of mind to pull out my cell phone camera until it was on its way back into the creek. Against the black backdrop,
the macro shot of the hazel leaf transforms into a radiant jewel,
its golden hues and delicate veins glowing with the warmth of the autumn sun !!

I was going thru my archives last night and found this shot of Cosmos, sitting in a folder all edited and ready to post, so I thought I'd put it up this morning. Used eight textures..

And now, now that every minute is so full, so chock-full of life and experience and struggle and victory and defeat, and more struggle and sometimes peace, now I no longer think of the future . . . I live here and now, this minute, this day, to the full, and life is worth living. And if I knew that I was going to die tomorrow, then I would say: it's a great shame, but it's been good while it lasted.
