An image from earlier this year in Florida. I was at pier on the lake at Circle B and trying to catch some of the numerous egrets and birds flying across the lake. This Great Egret flew by with these great clouds in the background.
Taken 18 April 2019 at Circle B Bar Reserves, Lakeland, Florida.
Against the beauty of the sky
Where the birds of hope, do fly
Where the sun does shine above
Filled with the beauty of sweet love
Where a paradise filled with bliss
Awaits your soft , loving kiss
Where fates very tender hand
Waits to guide you through the land
That stretches under the sky above
A sky of beauty and of love
Against the majestic Mount Hood and surrounded by a sea of pine trees is the quiet Trillium Lake. Less than two hours' drive from Portland, this lake is the perfect outdoor getaway. Here, you can camp overnight at the campground, go kayaking and fishing, and hike along the multiple trails available in the area—all while enjoying stunning views of Mount Hood. Snap a picture at the boat launch for an iconic shot of the mountain being reflected into the calm waters of the lake. Source: Tripavisor

Orchid at the very edge of an industrial building site. I wonder how many more there would have been? www.wildlifetrusts.org/wildlife-explorer/wildflowers/pyra...
winter on the mountain 'Schauinsland'
(= "look-into-the-country") at Black Forest, Germany, at an elevation of 1,284 m (4,213 ft) above sea level.
Due to its exposed location on the "Rheinebene" (Rhine Plain) which the Schauinsland rises from, there is a lot of strong wind, mainly from the west. Over the course of many decades, this has led to unusual forms of the red beech trees growing there. They are called 'wind beeches'.
It was biting cold and windy that day
(and no, that's no halo around the tree on the left hand side; it's a cloud formation behind it ; )

This Chameleon plant (Houttuynia cordata) may be a volunteer but it is holding its own against the house's brick façade. Its tall conical flower and red lined leaves are interesting. MO Botanical Garden calls it 'very invasive' but in its current location, it is 'land locked.'
Romans 1:26 “For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature.”
Here's a break from the pole shots, BNSF 1439 and 1990 lead the H-GFDNTW through Big lake after pausing on the west side of town for 10 minutes to let Northstar depart Big Lake. This train went by Perham at 01:30 so it sounded too early to make it anywhere in light before they got into Northtown. Fortunately some delay at CP 85.5 made it possible to get it running in the morning. I chased this train from Sauk Rapids to CP Interstate, this was my favorite shot of the chase. For disclosure the lead locomotive has been tampered with, the black spot where a former a high headlight was has been turned white, and some window glare on the conductor was attempted to fix.

There is nothing odd about watching for the stars...
So, take a look at me now
Well, there's just an empty space
And there's nothin' left here to remind me
Just the memory of your face
Well, take a look at me now
Well, there's just an empty space
And you comin' back to me is against the odds
And that's what I've got to face
Love me some Phil... ☼
