The ditch road below NCAR houses counduit with multi-kV power feed lines for the NCAR Mesa Lab. It washed out during the flood, leaving the feeders hanging exposed. Here, the crew has put in hangars for the feeder lines, has laid in new (larger) culverts, and is starting to rebuild the road up to and past the feeder lines.

last night, i wound up cooking fried rice for bart, shagy, jay, sarah, & myself. val came over after class but didn't eat. afterwards, i had a sink full of dishes, & somehow managed to get everything cleaned up but the wok, which i always hated washing (& which daniel always used to do for me). i had to get it all scraped out & cleaned up this morning after letting it sit overnight, dirty, in the sink.

Aftermath, this is the back of the buillding. Everyone in this building was evacuated last night and is in hotels. Even though my apartment is on the top right hand corner of this picture, we are in another building and use a different stairway, so we are all ok.
This block of flats in the Edgbaston shopping centre was blown up this morning. I missed the demolition, but saw the results!
