March 4, 2012

Aftermath of an early morning single vehicle car accident in the New Vernon section of Harding Township, New Jersey.

March 4, 2012. At approximately 2:00am a white BMW sped through the intersection of Spring Valley Road and Dickson's Mill Road in New Vernon. The driver failed to slow down a 90-degree t-shaped intersection, knocking down an electric and telephone utility pole and then crashing through a steel guard rail. The automobile came to rest only about 10 feet from a private residence. No other details are yet available.

[sooc]

Yup, the sky was really that color. Lots more storm photos coming soon. We just got electricity back about 2 hours ago.

The aftermath of my nephew playing Transformers and Lego

In the wake of a devastating apocalypse, the remnants of humanity, humanoids, androids, and visiting aliens face a chaotic and desolate world. Amidst the ruins, a fragile unity emerges, driven by the shared necessity to rebuild. As former boundaries blur, collaboration becomes a lifeline—a testament to resilience and the possibility of harmony even in the darkest times. This series captures the poignant beauty of an unlikely alliance forged in the crucible of survival.

Beneath the ashen skies, we stand,

Fragments of lives, of dreams unmanned.

Android hearts and alien eyes,

Reflect the echoes of human cries.

Where chaos reigns, we plant the seed,

Of unity born from mutual need.

No borders now, no walls, no chains,

Only the hope that life remains.

Through shattered halls, our voices soar,

A fragile hymn for what's in store.

Together we build, together we mend,

In this strange new world, where time may bend.

Ruins cradle hope,

Wires and flesh weave fragile dreams,

New worlds softly bloom.

Alien whispers,

Echo through the broken earth,

Harmony is born.

Chaos births anew,

Hands of steel and flesh entwine,

Life reclaims its throne.

The day after Mardi Gras, Mecredi Gras I would guess. What ever day Ash Wednesday was. All the trash left on Saint Charles St. after all the major parades. You can still see all the hundreds of thousands of beads and trash the little the street.

Fireworks and alcohol - pretty much sums up the new year's celebrations in Prague.

some of the debris from last night's demolition of three tower blocks in Sighthill, Glasgow

I'd say something nauseatingly cute here, but I think the picture speaks for itself.

Damage to south bank at Maitland.

Remnants of a Gay Pride parade that made its way through Paris.

Friday 28 November 2014: HIGNFY The Aftermath

Had a really brilliant time in London seeing HIGNFY being recorded. It will be broadcast tonight in the UK and later in Australia. The friend I went with runs an appreciation account for Alexander Armstrong on Twitter and she had arranged for us to meet him after the show, but boy did we ever get so much more than that. He had arranged 'Hospitality Passes' for us so we got taken through to the bar before the show and to the Green Room after the show. Alexander came and greeted my friend and me and opened a bottle of Champagne for us to enjoy. I couldn't actually drink any as I'm diabetic, but I made sure I took the cork! We saw all of the other stars in the Green Room and as we were leaving we both got two kisses from Xander. I didn't get back to my hotel 'till about 12.45, but it was well worth the late night... I could get used to all this 'Star' treatment!

52 Weeks 2013 - Week 52 - Aftermath

Done and dusted! Happy New Year!

My 52

See you in Connect 4

Later in the day about 10 feet from where I took this pigeon's picture I found him dead in the road. It didn't appear that he was hit by a car. There were fallen branches around him. It looks as if something was very wrong and the bird took a fatal fall from the tree above. I do not intend this to be a morbid twisted picture but it was just odd to see this after taking its picture just a little while before.

So many suction darts...

This year at tailgate, we got a few of the school's favorite teachers and threw water balloons at them. This is the result. It was SO rewarding. xD

1989 Black Tiger Fire aftermath up on Sugarloaf. Until the recent Fourmile Fire in a nearby canyon, this had been Colorado's most destructive wildfire.

In 21 years, a few aspens and pines have gotten a foothold in the ashes of the fire. As the decades pass, most traces of the fire will be erased by new growth.

Memorial to American Airlines Flight 587 on 116th Street and the (former) boardwalk is overgrown since Sandy but still beautiful, some flowers have survived.

An amazing storm cell clearing in Big Lake, MN. Sunset, rainbow and heavy clouds. This is a 7 image panorama.

Aftermath of Typhoon Melor (Typhoon 20W)

Saipan was spared as the typhoon Melor shifted far enough north, winds were not as strong as feared.

Small landslide set off by heavy rains, was already cleared by 6am on the 4th of October
